Topic: T or F? People who don't like to be judged... | |
---|---|
WHY would anyone WANT to TRY and JUDGE another??? Be them a stranger or a friend, the LABEL 'judge' is in it self to be augumentive in its nature. I will get-to-know- ANY person, and maybe come to call them a friend. And maybe find them not desirable to be my friend or them mine? But its not because I gave them a label or judgement based on anothers opinion or my own quick assertion that THEY WERE,,,,(anything) as I don't judge any person I seek to know THEM. NOT nick-name them or stereotype them in a group. I beg to differ, Robert! Anything I have said is my opinion, but a judge is decisive, not argumentative. The fact is that thinking it is wrong to judge is a judgement in and of it's self. Please everyone, feel this is a very good discussion of this issue, not an argument. We can all disagree and still be ok with one another. Thank you Lily, Robert, OP, and Angel...and some I can remember! I enjoyed our exchange! Nan |

If I say "true," am I not judging? We cannot help but place value judgments on everything/everyone we come in contact with. It is how we use and express this in the world and to others which makes us humane or not. This is very true! For example, Lily, I hate it that people judge me because I am fat, but I judge people for my reasons, including being fat, by the way. The difference is that I do not choose or think I have the right to verbalize my disapproval in a hurtful way. And I suspect you are the same way! I think this is the point the OP is trying to make, anyway. I tend to judge on words and actions... I lost 75lbs, I know what it's like... I see people on here and in real life, who make claims about who or what they are, then cannot follow up their words with actual actions... THAT I JUDGE... KNOW THYSELF... Words to live by... |

I think your statement is true in many instances! I also think the need to express ones judgement has to do with ones own insecurity. I find it hard to believe that a person could never judge another person. It's human nature. IMO! I, myself, try to keep my judgements to myself...unless pushed! No1 and Justme, Judging someone while being considerate of their circumstances doesn't make it any less judgemental. It's human nature to judge. It's ones choice and arrogance that makes us be mean about it! |

False. The most tolerant people I know don't want to be judged themselves.
