I get to enjoy intimacy at work. I never realized just how intimate my job was. I am glad you brought this thread up. Sometimes it is a 19 year old woman giving me a hug and asking for one because she wants to be with her parents. Sometimes it is a nurse giving me a cartons of eggs because she wants to show me how thankful she is that I came in and has so many eggs because her chickens are doing good. Sometimes it is a very old person who is lonely and wants someone to talk to. Sometimes it is a nurse who is very frustrated and is seeking validity. Sometimes it is a high ranking person who gave me 20 dollars for gas so I could have gas to make it to school. Sometimes it is a man who has no legs who gives me candy for helping him on a portie pottie. Sometimes it is a Director of Nursing who tells me that is thankful that I come in on my days off. Sometimes it is a person who can't talk but likes getting fed through a feeder tube. Sometimes it is a 23 year lady who has cerebral palsy that giggles when I squeeze her toes. Sometimes it is a new aide that appreciates the time I take with them to explain things. There is so much intimacy that sometimes i wonder if I wonder if I will ever time for a relationship because I have so many.
