hi R - this is not for some kind of classifcation pole, this is because i'm new and many times i dont know where people are posting what there beliefs are and their backgrounds are - just feeling out the crowd so to say - i know belushi's and abra's a jb's and a few more, just trying to get to know who's who - not to seperate anyone into catagories for any purpose other than that - not my purpose ok? donot take it the wrong way please. I actually appreciate this Tribo. I am new as well and it does help to have a general idea of what people's general "religious" opinion is when reading their posts. It helps keep things into perspective. For example, I should never expect Abra or JB to give me biblical basis for their being a God. Their well researched and articulate response may or may not give me evidence of a God but it wouldn't be Biblical evidence of a Biblical God because they do not believe in the Bible let alone the Biblical God. If one understands a posters bias up front, the reader can read and respect the posted opinion and HOPEFULLY not be as easily offended. well stated cherub, thnx

you don't have to address me directly, I wasnt. but i know that, or let's say... i hope you would at least read my posts... I haven't given you any scripture here True My major issue with christianity, islam and judaism, is all the same. Its hypocritical. The professions of peace, love and understanding all go to catpoo when another religion is mentioned, or a questioning of a line in the religious book is brought up I just intensely dislike the idea that "you" say that "you" follow one way - "you" say its the only way - but then "you" dont follow it yourself and expect "me" to. When "I" dont then "you" start throwing double standards at "me" (obviously the "you" and "me" dont actually apply to you and me personally) If all of the major religions had any real sway at all, then there would be no stress or angst in the world. But the label of being a god fearing christian/muslim/jew is used in the excuse of doing horrendous things in god/allah/jehovah's name. Humanity has to create these imaginary friends to prevent itself going mad. The human being is a destructive force and "desires nothing more than to slit its own throats" your last quote is most true belushi, i agree

Well now...that's just strange. I went to Sunday school and asked sooo many questions...never once did I get kicked out. I wanted proof. They stayed and answered as good as they knew how. Many times I did that with different church pastors and the such. With the sunday school teachers too. I was very much an agnostic then. I didn't believe their was a God, but wanted answers. Then I went from didn't believe to wanting to know how we knew. Never really got an answer then either. It was waaaaaaaay later that I changed my mind. Kat hi scatter/kat are you saying then you were a chritian born again? and now not? or am i reading you wrong??

All we need is love and understanding and yes, a lot of things you say are correct it is so tragic, that so many wars have been waged in the name of religion, Dear , and i have no answer why this happens... except the war between good and evil started way before i was here & hopefully we can find some love and things to unite us and lay down the arms in the wars that only continue to divide us... ...individually & globally .... so, i sit on the edge of the fence, trying not to offend people, and trying to embrace & spread as much goodness as i can... just because i or someone else may not be as inclined to agree with someone one day, doesn't mean that the next day is going to be the same... I hate war & i don't want to further it in my own heart or thought processes... Peace & love to You

Was baptized by snow on a yearly basis (I was very devout being from the north and all). Was "Saved" by the power of presents (I was a very materialistic child). THEN at 8, I found out he was a lie! Maybe I have more in common with those who once believed in Jesus than I thought!

I personally don't beleive christianity is a religion..or belief that you "practive" i believe it is more of a active lifestyle..not a whole lot of rules to follow...only two. Love God with are your heart and love your neighbor as yourself...pretty easy in my humble opinion There is nobody on earth who loves his or her neighbour like he or she loves himself or herself .Be real , where are you living in planet xyz ?. Did you see the video where a person was killed by a car and people left him there dying with no concern ?.

goddess jellybean, you may be right!!!you may have to give up your life of tarotism and repent - why not god did Tarotism? WOW! a new word. I like it! I like it! I was never baptized by snow. I only accepted Santa on the word of a trusted parent. I took their word for it. ~~~THEY LIED!! (NEVER AGAIN, I said) When the story of Jesus came along, I just said.... YEH RIGHT!...(NOT). Tarot cards are mostly works of art to me. They are also cards. They do not predict future events, they only reveal the energy of the moment... which is the eternal now. I don't consider them a religion or sacred. But I will chastise anyone to tries to tell me that Satan controls or is behind tarot cards or that they are a tool of the "devil." That is just a bunch of superstitious nonsense. How they work is very interesting and complex and has to do with the way the mind creates reality with thought. I don't know all the details.
