common law married in state of montana..
not good enough to get alamony, but good enough to count in a case of bill collecting "who do we get the money from"..
better than that.. in this state.. not married. but there.. married.. so i cant get a divorce unless i move back to montana for a year.. but i am not tecknicaly married..
it sux..
i can get remarried. but still up and untill the notice that i posted in the paper.. i am half responsible for all the bills he ran up.. anbd by half i mean. they take it from me. and i have to try and get it from him..

but i dont know wherehe is.. and im ok with that as the last time i saw him he held a gun to my head..

Have you filed formal charges on him for fraud? Or the gun incident? Maybe that'll get you some leeway with an attorney negotiating a debt settlement or .. gasp .... insolvency.

Also, why wouldn't a judge grant you an expedited divorce based on the circumstance? It makes sense. Have you tried to file for divorce on those grounds?
