How does one make themselves exclusive to one person without actually ever meeting? Just from emails/chatting/ and phone calls? That confuses me...Please help me understand

its hard to explain unless it happens to u! With webcam its easy to get to know the person pretty well!

I didn't think that made you exclusive, at least in my book it doesn't. But then again, everyone has there own definition of it.

I think only with the expectation that you will meet...at some point. So make yourself exlusive and miss an opportunity? And that turns out to be a flop?

And that turns out to be a flop? that sort of happens with real life dating too, though, doesn't it? You get exclusive with someone and shortly thereafter, it stops working for some reason.

that makes me wonder too, i have great conversations with most, seems like ive known them forever, but how do you turn that into something serious. to be honest, not even sure how to do that with someone i do meet in person. keep me up on if you get any answers here

In my experience, it's more of a mutual (?) illusion/deception than a reality. I mean, people can convince themselves of anything -- but I have to be around someone and spend some time with that person. Until then, there's a sort of "unreality" to the whole scenario.

He turned out to be a complete liar and playing games. Now I'm being more careful.
