flowerforyou It is easy to sit here and judge the cops that protect us and come to our aid when we need it. I do respect them very much so.

I would not want their jobs. They put there lives on the line everyday for you and I. You never know which car they are gonna pull over will be the one that has the gun to shoot the cop.

They are MY heroesflowerforyou

Just My Opinion

I in a way feel how you do, but however there are many cops out there who dont deserve the respect or "Do their job".
Would you want to do there jobs? I know I would not

You must date a cop. laugh

I do respect SOME cops for what they do. But it is crap like this that really irritates me.

Why would anyone feel they should have the right to speed??? The point is cops hiding to catch those who speed, when they should be driving around.
If you're not breaking the law, you won't get caught.

Really????
Yes, that's the bottom line.

Ever notice how cops also break the law to supposedly enforce it? Now instead of one person doing 80 on the interstate, you now have one person doing 80 and another (cop) doing 100+ to catch up to the guy that's doing 80. Who's really endangering people in this real world scenario?

I would not be a cop, because that's not my kind of thing to do. I prefer to save others lives in a different wayflowerforyou

And what would be the right way?

give a turn signal before you turn don't just slam on the break and expect a truck to be able to stop. I can't tell you how many times I have had to go off the road to avoid sudden " oh there's my street" turns.

I do agree with you.
For the others. You got caught with your hand in the cookie jar. IE. BUSTED! Quit *****in!

The guy doing 80...

The cop has the training to handle the speed.

Cops can hide......HIDE......behind trees and then sit and wait and clock you...and then pull you over? How the hell is that fair? Yeah, I might have been speeding, but how on God's green Earth is it fair for them to do that? grumble grumble grumble

Its called entrapment in my book............I so hate it...........mad mad mad mad
Not entrapment, entrapment is if they wait outside of a bar and get you for DWI.

That happens as well and I have dated cops who have done that and I have went out with one who when we used to go out and he was drunk would show his badge and his buddys would escort us home.........drinker drinker Isnt our justice system great.......laugh laugh laugh

Well, that depends on where you live. The Chief Homicide investigator here "retired" after getting ARRESTED for DWI.

Cops, to protect and serve?

When's the last time one served you? I've been broken down on the side of the road half a dozen times and at least 3 or 4 of those times a copper has passed me right up! Yes, my hood was up just like I was trained to do in drivers ed. Maybe the cops didn't remember that when they were busy taking speeding classes!

Of course you know for a fact that they were not already dispatched and responding to a call. And no, they do not always run lights when they are responding...

I'm sorry to hear that. I can't agree though, since I've been rescued from the side of the road a couple of times in the last few years by very helpful men in blue. flowerforyou

Not all cops are nice, and yes some do purposely ignore you even on the side of the road in a broke down car. Not every cop is helpful. The point of this post was to talk about unfairness and why cops HIDE.

Thank you!flowerforyou

However, I'm not anti-cop here, although it must sound like it. A few bad experiences here and there is all. I like to believe there are more good ones than bad ones.

They hide to catch people speeding.
