guys have changed alot about paying for things especially tickets to some far off place.

if u have the bux, i would say pay for it yourself, and then while u r his guest, he feeds ya and puts a roof over your head, either his place or a local motel......just to be on the safe side.
cause if he pays for the ticket, then you might have to put out...u may not understand this coming from an old woman, but that was the catch in the old days when the guy footed the bill for everything....

i say, if he's really interested, let him come to you. i would not travel to see a man i've never met before. call me old-fashioned, but i call it cautious.

I think so, not right to have a lady pay for the ticket...unless of course you are a serial killer, then you might as well pay for your prey.

how about, she pays for the tx, he pays for lodging, food and entertainment....with no rolls in the hey, until they get to know if they like each other.??????
and better yet, write it up in a contract, that each party gets a refund of money, if not satisfied with the other.

I think splitting the fare is fair :) But there are a lot of factors that would go into that choice. I have a wonderful girl I am friends with in England, and neither of us can afford the
airfare at this time. However, when we can she will come here to see me. For this woman I would be happy to flip the whole bill, she is very dear to me and it would be my pleasure to get her here. However if it was someone I hardly knew that would be a different story. I recently had an experience with a girl from london, I guess I am a hit in the UK, but she wanted me to pay half her fare here. After some careful checking it was a scam, saved myself about 300 dollars on that one. So if it was someone I was meeting for the first time I would offer to pay half, but I would reimburse them when they arrived.

when i met a guy off of here way back when..... he paid for his own ticket.. since he was going on vacation anyway... and if it worked out he would of moved here so he needed to see it here... i used my gas etc to show him around... and took him to an event here... and figured out all the things to do while he was here etc.... and yes he had more money than me...

ok well i think if he/she pays for you to fly to them least you can do is offer them a spare bed to help with expenses. Also treat for dinner,lunch whatever depending on how long they are staying....

I'm old school. I hope this doesn't sound bad but I believe a man should always pay for everything. The only exceptions are if the woman insists on splitting it or paying for it.

Humm the way I see it if your going to meet them then the one flying is the one should pay for their ticket. For one must take it in to consideration that the one your going to visit you will be staying with them most likely. They will have to pick you up at that airport and most likely will take you to see a few things and to eat ect... and it will be their food at home you will be eating. So in the long run both will be putting out expenses. And if it works out the next time the other one should fly it all comes out in the end. JMO

what if they are paying for you to fly to them?

so they pay for Kojack to fly to them, then I'll treat for food, drinks, etc a few nights

so, if a man doesnt' have a lot of money, he can't date? Seems archaic in this day and age when women make as much as men do.
