you would think that if they were decent ppl they would have offered to replace or pay for replacement. or have the child repay you in some way with chores or something.

I put my big house plant outside to get some sun and then ran some errands.... when I came back my plant was ripped out of the pot and scattered all over my yard thanks to my neighbor boys. Ages 5 & 3 They always come over to my house and play with my daughter and I babysit them and they watch my daughter and we always all usually get along. But now I'm pissed. That boy is always tearing up something. I told his dad about it and he grounded him to the couch for a whopping 10 minutes. He did make him come apologize but I'm still pretty irritated. I told him he may be out of trouble at home but he's still in trouble with me and can't come over and play until he respects my property. Is it wrong to think they should offer me a new plant? Absolutely not. They LEGALLY and MORALLY OWE YOU a plant, or atleast the money to replace it. You did nothing wrong at all. I hope they replace your plant without any problems.
