I did over 120 on highway 15 while going to Lake Tahoe. (The spedometer maxed so I'm not sure of the exact speed).

However fast the rest of the traffic on the beltway which is usually 80 - 85,
 those people are crazy and the sad part is I feel like I am sitting still when they go by me

Speedo topped at 120 numerous times in the SC, NC and OK twisties. Yes, OK, has a curve or two but my folks always get a kick out of what makes a dangerous curve in the midwest.

145 on a newly paved highway just after dawn in Michigan.

My Acura will cruise all day long at 130 if I let it. The listed top speed is "149MPH (governor limited)". I had it to an indicated 145 before settling back to an extended cruise of about 120 while driving to California.
My buddy Mark had his Mercedes to an indicated 155 with me in it on our way back from St Louis. That one is governed to 155, so I suspect we were probably closer to 150. |

I actually have a friend that likes to go drifting.
When he invited me along, I couldn't refuse! 145 when he broke the tires loose! Now THAT, was a Freakin thrill. Hats off to Dallas... He does it every weekend! (Hats off to me for giving it a try!)

I'm thinking about it! I want to go to the Nurburgring too. I've seen that one woman who drives it with passengers. She's lived on it since she was a little girl. FUN! |
