When you start dating someone, do you get him involved with meeting your friends or do you keep friends and your significant other complete separate lives?

it really depends wether ur friends are the same style if not dont mix the two worlds togehter

It depends how long you are dating for. If it is working out okay then let them meet your friends.

It seems like in the past, they've always just met them as they came around. I never made a real point of introducing them at all...it just happened.

well i normally wait awhile to actually get to know the guy before i even let my friends or family get to know them, as you dont know my mom, oh!1 she very protective over me. so she would be climbing the walls if i didnt tell her. like a few months ago i went to the beach with a guy to dinner and she freaked that i didnt tell her untill i got home, i had my cellphone on me but i didnt answer it.. i wasent going to hear a lecture and i dont live with my mom

My friends can get with her friends and then we can all be friends plus always having parties and what are parties without friends

I would wait a little while. And, same the other way around. I wouldn't want to meet a bunch of friends right away. Same goes with meeting family.

at some point my significant other would meet my friends.... considering a good part of my friends are married/engaged/serioud relationships... there are a few group activities that we all do.

I was just asking because someone I was dating a long time ago would go out with her friends, no biggie at all, I encouraged it. Well, it became an issue because the only time I was getting with her was "after" she was out with her friends she would come over, usually a little ipsy because they were out drinking. She would just fall asleep and say that "that" was our time together. There was never any time where we would all go out an hang out, just her. I would sit at home waiting for some time with her. She would just say, well, in a little while. So, I wouldnt go do anything hoping that there would be an early nite one of those times.

She was a lot younger than me so maybe it's just the way things are, I dont know. Anyways, thanks for the answers
