1. Try to survive the downright infuriating rise in fuel prices by NOT going anywhere this summer.
2. See #1. 3. Invest in a kiddie wading pool, fill it with water, and act as if I'm sunning myself in the French Riviera. 4. Get drunk doing #3. 5. That's about it. Unless I win the lottery, that is- then I probably WILL take a trip to the French Riviera. |

Working for the third summer at a non-profit girl's camp here in Maine. We take in girls from low income families and foster homes, many of whom have abuse in their pasts. Most of our kids come from inner city areas and coming to Maine for 10 days is their only real outdoor type of experience. We have a lot of kids returning every year and we try to expand as well, inviting new girls whenever possible.

Change and get comfortable in my new job in august. It will be demanding, but the money and the benefits are ridiculous. I'm going to retire. So I'm going to spend the summer lightening my load and selling items, putting non essential stuff in storage, saving some money, and taking care of loose ends. It will be a struggle but with faith and perserverence I will succeed.
