To get back to what seemed to be becoming a point in the unmentionable thread. This place has changed tremendously. it started with the merger back when and does seem to be going further downhill. just doesn't seem to be as much fun as it once was IMHO. I agree with topic (dont know which thread you are referring to?) but agree none the less. It is becoming less and less fun to post here. Cannot post an opinion unless it's the opinion of the OP. Cannot disagree with OP because that's just not accepted. JMO

COme on people, you all know name calling & arguing is NOT allowed in the threads.
Seems some people chose to ATTACK rather than just POLIETLY state their OPINIONS. I see that as what is happening, rather than ignore people that want to stir up trouble. People fall for their baiting remarks & get pissed. What people that DO NOT KNOW me say, is like water off a ducks back. Ever heard "NEVER BANDY WORDS WITH A FOOL" If you don't know me, how can you speak of me. Try that approach & see if it helps. Otherwise, reread the rules. |

I mean I see that you joined a whole 7 months before I did but I am not new to this sort of format. Neither is most of the people posting. I started out many years ago and just like in real life you have your share of ass holes that will be on here. I have been to many NASCAR races but I have only seen a fight at one of them but does that mean I should stand in front of all 100,000 people and asked them to get the hell out because I seen a couple of dumb asses? Maybe this site isn't as fun as it once was way way back when you joined in 07 but please understand that when I read that "this site has gone downhill" I tend to feel like I am somehow invading your space. Just go into the welcome threads and read what people are posting as an "initiation" to the site. If that was the way I was welcomed here I would have left before I even got to know anyone. I am not a baby, but I have had enough rude comments said to me during my marrige, that I don't need to have them said to me here too, for no reason other than to make "them" feel better. |

Well I have been here for a long time. I have seen many new ones come and go as well as the so called Old Timers.
But....I can't blame any of the actions that happen here on just the newbies or the Old Timers. Why because it is like a circle these things go on for a while then all settles down. It all has to do with weeding a few bad ones out. 
I have seen tempers flair as my own then seen some of those same ones that left come back. 
Life is all about changes. 
I enjoy the newbies as well as the Old Timers so to speak. But.....no one has the right to control the site and want it to remain. Funny I have seen these same type of things happen every since I have been here from day one. 
So no one can say it is the cause of the newbies I have seen plenty of Old Timers stir stuff up thinking this site belongs to them cause they were here first. But that is not so this site is here for all of us to enjoy it.
Yeah we have a few bad ones come in and sometimes tempers rise. Not always due to any certain thing sometimes it is due to personal life ect... Then all it takes is for one person to say something out of character and wham everyone jumps them.
Why cause we can. Is that right? Where does it get us?
I just think at times we need to step back look at the whole situation and realize that hey that was un-called for. Let's start this day over.
It takes a bigger person to walk away from a fight then it does to spew those words out. In the end it makes others look at us in a different way. Be the bigger person and say it is not worth fighting over.
