I'd agree if I couldn't afford it otherwise. I've done this for friends, as in: "Hey, I'm going anyway. I'll be paying for it anyway. Want to join me?". But I'd have to pitch in something...dinner...help with the driving...something!

With an actual friend, yes. But, no, not with an acquaintance and especially not a male acquaintance. Those requests creeped me out........ uncomfortable.........

Depends if the friend is male or female.
Sometimes I cannot travel even with my best of friends. They drive me crazy and I just want to strangle them!! But if it is with a real good male friend, heck ya!!! I will even buy dinner!! |

I have done that! He didn't want to go alone, and I couldn't afford to go at the time, so he insisted until I gave in. It was just a road trip and a shared room...not bed, but room...so it didn't put him out too much, just meals mostly. We had a blast too.

I've been invited on trips with my best friend...
and yes she paid for everything.. and she didn't expect sex... 
so the delema of expectation of sex or no sex would have to depend on who is inviting etc...

depends on what you mean by friend??? is sex expected? Sex is expected whether you're on a trip or staying home! 
that is true but if it was a best friend thing.. just having a good time or the possibility of getting too drunk and....stuff happens...or is it a friend that you already been with or have that tension with? all depends.. i try not to mess up friendships... |

It don't matter to me who it is. I still would find a way to pay for some of it or set up somthing for them latter down the line. |
