Millions of people suddenly vanished on a average day. Grave split open...corpse vanished. It's one minute after the rapture.... What would you begin to do if you missed the rapture. What do you think the government would begin to do??? What would happen globally, economically, politically???? Millions of people are missing.... on a global scale.

So what happens: One minute after the rapture?

Assuming the only other people left would be lawyers and polititions, I'd figure everything would come to a screaching halt while being held up in arbitration.

I don't believe in pre-tribulation rapture, I don't think that it is scripturally sound. Jesus will have one second coming. Chirstians will be "raptured", the soliders who are fighting in the war will be killed by Jesus and everyone will be presented to God for judgement. So what will the non-saved by thinking? Probably: Oh snap! I should have listened to those annoying people!

Jeanniebean,

If you can't actually address what I posted, why respond? Did I say anyone say "can't wait for their Jesus to come and kill us all". That isn't even implied. Also, Jesus is going to destroy the Armies that are trying to kill all Jews on the planet...do you approve of their goal? If not, why do you believe you will be a member of those armies? Why I waste my time...

You said: So what will the non-saved be thinking? Probably: Oh snap! I should have listened to those annoying people!

You also said that "Christians will be raptured" and then Jesus will kill the armies who are trying to kill the Jews.

noway

I want to respond to that remark, (The like of which I have heard from many of the "annoying" fundamentalist.)

They can't seem to wait until the end of the world so they can say "I told you so!" or: " Jesus is coming back and you will be sorry you did listen NOT to us."

That just sounds so childish.

Also:
I would like to know where you get your information. (It seems that everyone has a different idea of what is "supposed" to happen in some future apocalyptic event.)

I don't think anyone knows.

the end of the world has a differnt meaning to me. It means to me that hopefully I will be with my God, not to say to anyone I told you so or nanny nanny boo boo (not saying anyone is directly saying that....just stating what i believe)

although I'm not sure where it says Jesus will come back and kill everyone that is killing the Jews (can you show me that part?)

next and certainly not last (if you know me lol)...how can anyone accuratly answer the OP? how does anyone know who will survive (if any) or what will survive?

I think this is what JB was referring to. It kind of implies that all those who didn’t listen to the annoying people (the proselytizers) will be out killing the Jews.

They can't seem to wait until the end of the world so they can say "I told you so!" or: " Jesus is coming back and you will be sorry you did listen NOT to us."

That just sounds so childish.

Exactly!

Damn dial-up, I'm always behind the posts! grumble

this is why I say that the Bible is open to interpretation on some things. I never believed that I should laugh and be arrogant to think "you should have listened to us". if anything I think i would be sad. I do believe in the Armaggedon that will come but maybe not in the same belief as spider. I believe there will be a judgement day (but that comes from my beliefs) but to say you should have listened???? that's awful

That’s how I look at it too. I don’t even believe in the story, but I have read it. And what I read was that Jesus said he did not come for the righteous but for the sinners. Since I don’t consider myself to be a sinner then Jesus didn’t need to die for my sins. He will automatically accept me on my own merit according the folklore as I understand it.

So even if the story should turn out to be true, I’d still in great shape according to what Jesus supposedly said. flowerforyou

abra....and that's how you believe. who am I to say you are wrong and will burn in hell for it??? i do believe in heaven and hell and judgement day...but what i believe may not be what others believe....and who knows???? I might be told I interpreted things wrong but they are my beliefs and they are true to ME. I can't be so arrogant to judge others and say this will happen to you. for all I know God could change his mind and say....will he has a good heart even if he doesn't believe so I'll give him a shot. I don't believe God HAS to follow any rules.

Absolutely, and it even appears to be inconsistent to me. So when I see in consistencies I’ll just choose to believe the parts that favor me. laugh

Hey why not? If I have to choose an interpretation why not chose the positive one? Why not be as optimistic as I can be? flowerforyou

JeannieBean,

Nobody wants to say "I told you so!" No Christian thinks that way. Those thoughts and feelings are all YOU and have nothing to do with what I think or feel. Why would anyone celebrate the suffering of another? You aren't even addressing what I said, you are making a pathetic emotional plea "Christians are sooo mean! <pout>", which is also a straw man. Nobody has said that they will say "I told you so" and nobody has said they are looking forward to seeing non-believers suffer.

If you told a friend "Don't go outside, a tiger will kill you" and your friend went out anyways, would you be happy that your friend got killed? Would you go to your friend's corpse and say "I told you so!" Of course you wouldn't, so why do you think Christians would? That's character assasination.

Christians are told to rejoice in the coming of Jesus. We are being reunited as a family. We also can AND DO feel sorrow at the thought of people being lost, but as I remember, you have a problem with proselytizing. Proselytizing is the ONLY WAY we know to help you avoid that fate. Talk about childish. You complain that we don't feel enough sympathy and when we show concern for your soul you complain.

Also:
I would like to know where you get your information. (It seems that everyone has a different idea of what is "supposed" to happen in some future apocalyptic event.)

As I said, "I don't believe in pre-tribulation rapture, I don't think that it is scripturally sound". The end times are described in the Old and New testament, many events are described but no time line is given. I am offering my best understanding of how everything will happen. If you had read the Bible, you would remember the events I was discussing, even if you disagreed with my interpretation of the events. I didn't claim or imply to be an expert, but I can offer an opinion.

Well if those movies they used to show us in church are anywhere near accurate, someone will be dragging out a guillitine and heads will (literally) start to roll. There was a lot of head chopping in that "christian" flick. More so than in Conan the Barbarian.

As for me, one minute after the rapture, I should be in heaven, if I'm not, I guess the head comes off.

No it doesn't. That's in your own head. You are projecting your thoughts and feelings onto my words.

Nobody is doing that. It's childish and stupid to claim that it is how we feel.

Those were gallows, not guillitine.
