i play poker 6 to 7 days a week.alot of times for serious money. been doing this for last 2 years. usually i will make alot of money at it. i think im getting burnt out though my level of play has dropped signicantly over last month. the adrenaline rush i got from the game has kept me playing lately i haven't been getting that adrenaline from playing. i have no social life outside of poker. i dont know what to do.

Go to a bar and talk to people, alternatively go out anywhere that common people commune and talk to people...or throw pebbles at women and then yell "hey kid!" acting as though someone else through it...almost certainly leads to a conversation.

ok for arguments sake say i am addicted. if i quit playing im not going to be making the money i am now their in lies the problem.i dont see the solution either. Choice A: Get a job, bagger, clerk, cashier, waiter, car repair, etc. or B: Live off the land, learn to hunt, fish, and self preservation. (Option B requires the least amount of human interaction and is highly recommended by myself, however a year down the road you will develop a friend in your head named Sam...and you will never get rid of him.) |

fear of something is what make it control you, or become an addict to it....you dont sound like you fear it, so let no one convince you to.....it has been good for SOME reason.....did you make yourself have a love for poker......no man creates their own desire......it is a physical reality of a deeper inner desire that has to do with your destiny in life........one can look into the experience as if from outside yourself and see what it was to teach......if everything was removed from the world today, and just you ALONE were left, what would you care about......who would you want to see......NONE? somebody?......no satisfaction comes but only does good and need not repeat IF we see it as GOOD...... GOOD to show us WHAT WE REALLY WANT......think as if you are not yourself, not even your old name......just a being whith ALL POWER TO DO ANYTHING YOU WISH........be ANYBODY you wish to be.......even our names tie us to who we think we are based on the past......your mind will tell you most not to do these things, to see all as negative, but even with the first step following the things your heart says will return passion for ALL of life.......
