As Time Goes By; Last of the Summer Wine; The Vicar of Dibley (I call it The Dikker of Vibley ); Are You Being Served (esp when they all retired to the farm); To The Manor Born; "My Hero" was a riot; Waiting For God, and the one with Hyacinth, can't remember the name. With the 4 sisters. Wasn't that "Keeping Up Appearances" or something like that? I always felt sorry for her husband.... Yes!! That's it. Thanks, Lex. I call it Appearances. Maybe I'd remember the name if I called it by its full name. Yes! Poor Richard!! |

Balls of Steel Red Dwarf Black Adder Monty Python Benny Hill Fawlty Towers etc,etc etc There was another show my friend showed me a few times about these IT guys stuck in the basement of this office, I'll have to ask him unless someone knows it off hand. I really dislike Fawlty Towers. I just don't care for hostile people, creeping and sneaking around(Basil) and the screaming and shouting. I take a power nap when that one is on with the volume down or muted. I do enjoy Dr. Who. |

What about Mulberry Days? Anyone else like that?
Other good ones are: Are you being served? (Got to meet John Inman once, he was a sweetheart) Vicar of Dibley (she is such a pip right? No, No, No, No, No, No, Yes) As time goes By (Love Dame Judy) Keeping Up Appearances (poor Richard, and the sisters were Daisy, Rose (played by 2 different actresses) and Violet (the one with the Mercedes and room for a pony) My Hero (funny) Chef (did you notice he is the voice of the shrunken head in the 3rd Harry Potter Movie?) Black Adder (Hugh Laurie pre-House) To the Manor Born Red Dwarf (the actor for the main charachter from Brittas Empire was in this too) Brittas Empire (started out ok, but later episodes were dull) Benny Hill (that poor old man took such a beating LOL) Monty Python Waiting for God (also started out well and then fizzled out near the end for me) Last of the Summer Wine (have to try it again from the beginning, I think I missed something). For those of you on Long Island. PBS channel 21 has Brit-coms every Friday night from 8-11pm unless they are fund raising, then it's a toss up. They had a new one on last week from Australia. It's different going to take more than one show to see how good it really is. |

Red Dwarf
(mainly the first few seasons) Black Adder (mainly the one's with Queen Elizabeth and the one's with Prince George) Fawlty Towers (Don't mention the war. I might have let something slip, but I think I got away with it) Garth Marengi's Darkplace (I've only seen the first two episodes, I just about soiled myself. My friend went and bought them all on CD) I used to like one called "The Bounder", can't find it anywhere. Are You Being Served and Coupling seem kind of like dumb shows which are saved by the accents. I don't think I'd like American versions of them. Are we sure there was a fifth season of Blackadder? I think they just did some specials. There was a spoof of A Christmas Carol that had a futuristic segment. |

My Family is quite good.
The last "episode" of Black Adder was actually a special and was made specifically to ring in the new Millennium. It is set in the present and involves what starts out as BA's attempt to swindle his pals with a fake time machine that Baldrick acutally gets to work and the adventure begins from there. One of the funniest scenes is when BA knees Shakespeare in the groin and then says calmly, "And that's for every schoolboy from the 20th century" |

You can't beat BBC grew up with doctor who, hitchiker's guide to the galaxy, benny hill, montey python, are you being served, then cable came along. ab fab ,young ones, max headroom....etc. now I'm into the new doctor who, torchwood, hexx and strange which starred Richard Coyle as a priest. I can't remember the psycic show about the little lady that solved crimes, kind of like Medium . One of the best new shows was a mini series 'Jeckyll' with James Nesbit and Gina Bellman.
