Start dating a woman even though you knew in advance that she would not be able to have kids???

I know this is a tough question for the younger men without kids already. I want to know your thoughts.

I have a son, Im lucky. But the doctors told me I couldn't have any more. I feel bad for what ever new relationship I get into because at some point if we got married, I couldn't give him (his own blood)to carry on. I hope whomever I end up with would HAVE to love my son just as their own...but do you think most guys would find this tough to swallow?

Me personally, yeah i would date her because i've decided that i don't want kids earlier in my life and i've stuck with it for so long now.

yes...but I'm not young....have raised my kids...and cant have anymore.......


but I would also not hesitate to date a woman with kids.

yes, love is limitless. There are children out there that could use decent parents, and would be as much our kids as if we conceived them.

Indeed I would. I believe that you can adopt kids like ddanster said above. I also work with kids as a teacher. You can have a meaningful relationship without kids.

I would. For me, it's about the relationship I'd have with the woman, NOT about whether or not kids will come into play or not. After all- it's supposed to be about love, and you shouldn't be having kids if you didn't love your mate, anyway.

But what if the woman is older, say mid 40's????

Sure. I don't know of many men that would say no.

Some of us want a woman that doesn't want any /any more kids.

Actually if I am not mistaken, I believe the older a woman is the higher the risk for genetic disorders for the child.

I don't have kids yet, and I want to, but I wouldn't shun a woman because she wasn't capable of having kids. There are other options: Fostering, Adoption that kind of thing.

Now the real question would be, does this woman want kids, but just can't have them or does she just not want children at all and had her tubes tied?
Thats the kind of difference maker that can kill a relationship in a hurry if both sides aren't on the same page.
If the woman just didn't want to have a family, I'd have to move on, because that doesn't fit with who I want to be before I'm old and grey.
