Hell no I went to a catholic school for 3 yrs and they could do that, totally embarassing to the kid and the teachers got out of control with it. punishment like that should be left to the parents.

It first needs to start in the home, and the parents need to take responsbility for their children and put fear back into their children. Remember the day when we respected our elders?

I think its a dumb idea...there is a reason why they did away with it....
but I wonder how many parents actually discipline their children...yes I have very strict rules for mine...also lots of praise and hugs. |

And I raised three kids, with a swat on their butts if they needed it, they stopped at the age of 13. NEVER,,,no where else, but if I told them the rules and they broke them, they knew, it was a swat..my hand their butt.. |
