if someone told you they were busy watching a movie and after that doing homework would you have called them? I would figure they wouldn't want to be bothered, but I was wrong.

Did you call and they said they were busy? Or did they tell you prior that they WERE going to be busy?
Either way, I wouldn't have called. They're doing their own thing, so I go do mine. |

I'd ask them if they wanted me to call them anytime during that time. If they wanted a break to talk or something.

i would have waited for them to finish whatever they had planned for the evening. then they can call ME when they are done.
