I'll tell ya what hurts..... Offering to go out to dinner with someone and being flat turned down. What they're basically saying is, "Um, nope, I don't even want to have a free meal around you.". Ugh! Where is she? I'll peck her eyes out!

And why does that hurt? Don't you like who you are? Some don't like who I am either, but usually, I take that as a sign I'm doing something right. If you don't offend, it means you're gonna blend.
