Actually not.

This thread is a demonstration of human perception at it's worst and the many attempts to show a larger perception.

Not happening by the way.

The Arizona law is promoting racial profiling and it should struck down.

I can only hope that it will so I can still be proud of the leaps and tiny steps this country has made to racial equality.

As we can tell there is much more work to be done.

Yes the Perception you are showing is your worse. For you have put down everyone in the state of AZ for ignorance of their own law and what it will do to us.

If you are a hispanic living in Arizona and support this law are you a racist also? The majority of hispanics living in Arizona do support this law.

They don't realize what they are supporting...lol

Oh really. This isn't a racist/profiling remark? Saying basically we are not smart enough to know. But you do?

Again,

I am saying that they do not realize what white racists can do to them until they are let lose on them.

Right now white racists are controlled some by the laws.

"They do not realize" = Illiterate; "what white racists can do to them" = Weak.

Nice. You pretty much shot them down as illiterate and weak in one post. You spin words more than a DJ spins records, so, much like your conservative counter-parts I have no doubt you will come back and explain this one off as well. And a lot like the conservative counter-parts, it won't make a whole lot of sense either.

Thank you

It is what it is.

I cannot support racial injustice no matter what.

How would you deal with the millions of illegal people that are here and f**king up our country.

Not by being racially unjust that is for sure.

As to what I think we need to do is secure our borders which should have been done the day after 9/11 in full force.

Stop all employers from employing illegals as we determine who to make a citizen and who to deport.

In a nutshell, that is SB 1070 It re-enforces federal law.

All the racial crap is nothing more than propaganda from both sides.

Did you read this thread?

Because I do not want to have to do this all again.

Yes it is racially profiling and we have already determined so a few pages back.

It is not the same as the federal law and it is racially unjust.

shocked What? Where was it determined it IS racial profiling? Are you talking about what it says in the bill again. I agreed that you were right in the content of the "suspicion of an alien" being in the bill. I did not AGREE that it is considered racial profiling. huh frustrated

the question is not what people SHOULD have to do here,, should you have to wear a tie to work,, no, but in certain companies it is the image they PREFER you to have. It is more about what people CAN do.

Clothes, hairstyles and the likes are choices people have, race is not.

I agree. And yes its profiling not racial profiling. I agree with crashtestdummy and msharmony.

Why won't anybody answer my earlier question?

Is getting stopped and searched because of long hair and beard (multiple times) profiling?

YES, it is profiling, just not racial.

I concurflowerforyou

Again long hair and clothes can be changed. Race is not something that can be changed to stop the difficulties of racists.

But why should he have to. That is something that is inheritingly his. It defines him as unique. People of color wouldn't become caucasian to fit the mold and avoid discrimination so why should he?

Even when you are doing EXACTLY what you are opposing. Profiling white in color and hispanic people in AZ as not knowing what we are doing and the implications.

Sorry, "illiterate" is the proper term.

You don't seem to like "white" people all that much.

Any Arizonian. So far we seem to be racial profiling and dumb as rocks. Even though we LIVE here and talk to the other half baked idiots. We know nothing.

Everyone knows the implications of the bill. Does it need fine tuning..possibility! And as I said before as an AMERICAN I would glady show my Legal Residency papers if it helps keep criminals away.

The Hispanics don't realize how much their lives will change when you allow white folks to perpetrate racism against you.

As to the box comment, it doesn't apply to me.

Yes they all live in holes, we take them out every once in awhile to eat and go potty. But the legal hispanics are not allowed to watch tv, listen to the radio, speak to their friends (some illegal), nothing. We have them contained so they cant hear or understand. frustrated frustrated frustrated rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl

well, technically, income taxes are but ONE type of tax that goes towards helping others,,, we pay taxes on gas, utilities, tolls, and a whole list of things ,,,we wouldnt make it if we only had income taxes because of the reason you mentioned,, not enough people pay into income tax,,,

Except illegals pay all those taxes also so they deserve to receive help in that case

Do you honestly expect me to believe that someone that gets paid in CASH and is here illegaly, pays taxes on it?

Your funnyrofl rofl

I guess the fact that they buy all the same household products and food and lights and stuff that we do and pay taxes on doesn't count eh?

Not when OUR government GIVES them the money to spend.

Oh man, here we go again.

Illegals cannot get any government money. It is illegal for them to get it.

The federal government doesn't allow illegals to receive any kind of benefits from the government.

Do I have to prove this one again?

I get so tired of the bull **** people spread around amongst themselves without ever verifying the validity of it.

Ever heard of fake ids? Fake documentation most people don't look hard at (food stamps, des).

Sorry wrong again.

We send all ids to the INS for verification of validity and we verify all other ids too.

I worked for the welfare department.

I can tell you that it was less than one percent of fraud in the welfare department. In a big city too.

It is all hate propaganda designed to make people hate another human so that the racists can get their way.

Ive seen it! slaphead frustrated frustrated Lord grant me serenity...flowerforyou

Seen what?

Fake IdS?

You cannot have seen someone commit fraud though because you cannot be sure that is what you are seeing.

Yes, I have seen fake ids. I will not belabor a point that I know I have seen. I will never be able to prove that and don't care if I do. When you are known to be an illegal with a perfectly fake legal id ...uhh...its fake. OK?

The migrants that you speak of came here LEGALY and YES they did help make America what it is today. I'm fine with anybody that comes here LEGALY, adjusts to OUR way of live and doesn't expect me to adjust to their way of life or support them.

Actually there are many many white folks who did not come here "legally" who have been here generations now.

Legality wasn't an issue years ago so white folks ancestors did not have to jump hoops if they didn't come through Ellis Island or whatever. You were here and you were here, that is all.

So white people can climb off their high horse about it.
Their ancestors might be illegally here too.

Unless you are native American you can't claim ownership of this country because you might be born of an illegal crossing into here.

Now lets get to adjusting to others. We should be speaking more than one language here and Spanish is a good start. We are becoming a world community.

I hate the old American stick in the mud or up my butt attitude that we don't need improvement here. We have lots of room for improvement and one of them is learning more languages.

As for supporting others unless you pay income taxes at the end of the year and not get a refund, you don't pay for anyone else, so moot point for most of the people on this site.

~whips out citizen papers~ I would be more than willing to show my LEGAL right to be here. If they want to add it in the bill go for it I will show gleefully to help the problem (if any). I wouldnt care if it would help the HUGE PROBLEM we have in Az.

and that is what they need to do, MANDATE everyone show citizenship papers when stopped, and not just those 'suspected' of being an illegal immigrant

  YAY!  Sounds like a plan I would TOTALLY! Next step... How would the american people implement the government to change the bill? I would be first in line!

I would suggest something like the AA policies. IN those areas of the country where the numbers PROVE there is a high incidence of immigrants entering the country, there should be positive policies in place to counteract that,,such as mandatory citizenship verification for police , and mandatory citizenship verification for schools and employers.

Now that I would stand up and fight for! I am willing to do MY part to help our current problem by alleviating the "racial" aspect out of it. Pull me over, take me in. I wont like it...but WE have to do something NEW!

We are on the same page here for sure. I have no issue with equality. If the police treat all people EQUALLY, unless or until they break a law, its all peachy. IF they ask some people for verification which they dont ask of others,,thats not so peachy.

Thats what Im talking about.  In the long run it would benefit everyone and also it would return the misplaced illegals.

So do criminals. Not a very good point.

Which criminals, the ones incarcerated? Or the ones on the streets who haven't been convicted of anything yet? Making them suspects not criminals.

Both!

Prisoners...do have to buy their items. Not quite sure they are taxed.

People who have been jailed numerous times for drug dealing, DUI, DWI. Repeat offenders.frustrated
