When I start to feel nervous I ask myself "why"? Usually it is because I want him to like me... so I tell myself that I cannot control his feelings. I can only be me and I like me enough for both of us. That's great advice. Thanks. |

So I had my first date since my divorce a couple of weeks ago and the guy never called back. Why? Because I was really, really, really nervous about the whole deal. I didn't know what to say, how to act or how to end the evening. He probably thought I was a freak of some kind. I'm not devasted by the fact he never called back, I think of it as practice. lol Anybody got any advice? If NOT he wasn't worth your attention to worry about it. PRATICE makes PERFECT,wink, This is true,,wink,lol Good luck..  
I thought it went well except for the last hour and a half. Then it was pretty much just awkward. We both ran out of things to say. next time I'll have a list of questions ready. :) |

If I were to be proposed to again, I would like it to be a spontaneous gesture, not something elaborately planned. I think I would like it if I were snuggling on the couch with my guy watching TV and he says, "hey, you wanna get hitched?" lol I like things sweet and simple.

I can deal with being alone. Sure there are days when I wish I had someone at home to talk to and snuggle with other than the dog, (when she starts talking back, then I'll worry. lol), but you know, I'd rather be alone than in a relationship based on lonliness. And your friend was right--you do need to learn to be comfortable with yourself and discover who you are as an individual rather than as part of a pair.
