well, by popular definition, I don't consider myself "psychic." Though I
do believe certain people have certain "gifts," much of it is quackery, IMO. Like, the "Psychic" Friends Network, for example. Or Sylvia Browne on Montel, et al. |

hi..welcome to the forums and to tennessee..
You are about 100 miles away, but if you're ever planning a trip to nashville and want to know just about anything there is to know about it, I've been in this god-forsaken ...uhh..lovely city... for 37 years. So feel free to ask! i know where EVERYTHING is! |

This q has been asked before but I don't remember if I answered here or
not... Anyway, I've had several precognitive experiences in my life but I'm not "psychic." I can't "predict" what's going to happen, but I've visualized things that are going to happen that have happened. Like, just as an example, one time I put in a bag of microwave popcorn and set the timer and was going to walk away for a couple minutes when, all of a sudden, the thought came to me that I shouldn't leave, because the popcorn was going to catch on fire. Very soon after that, the bag burst into flames! I thought, OMG..I'm CARRIE!! So...yeah, weird stuff like that's happened several times over the years. |

Who is Really Looking???

I'm not looking FOR love, I'm looking TO love. And, idealistically, I'll
find someone who's looking TO love, too. ![]() |

I think love has only one definition, but is expressed in different ways
to different people, depending on the type of relationship you have with them. |

You know, it's a funny thing...I've been on Internet dating sites for
seven years and, up until recently, never had a bikini/cleavage/legs shot in my profile. This is the first time in a long time I've felt even remotely comfortable wearing one and a friend of mine said I looked good enough to put one up, so I did. I figured I'd get laughed at and called fat and so forth and so on but, much to my surprise, with only two exceptions -- and those were women, so who gives a damn? LOL -- all I've gotten have been compliments. When I was much much younger, and had a much MUCH better-looking body, there is no WAY I'd have put up a swimsuit photo. I was much too self-conscious about the way I looked. As I've aged, I don't know if it's more of the fact I have more self-confidence, or if it's partly that I just don't give a damn what people think anymore. I think probably a little of both. What's more, I haven't gotten ANY overtly sexual comments on this site or on any others that I have the same pics up, yet I've gotten some absolutely filthy ones (like I was talking about before) from men who either haven't seen a pic of me at all or who have seen pics of me only in street clothes. So go figure. I think anyone who reads my profile and takes note of all of my pictures and who, particularly, reads my posts, will be able to figure out I'm hardly what you'd call "easy." And the fact I haven't gone out with but about 9 men in seven years (and only had sex with one of them) should speak to that, too. Now, I could see someone getting the "wrong idea" if I was POSING provocatively (swimsuit or no), and if my posts were really trashy, etc., but to assume that I'm "easy" because I have a bathing suit on in my picture is ...well, rather STUPID, IMO. I mean, if a woman is wearing a swimsuit at a beach, does that means she's easy? Or does that change the perspective, because it's a beach? I've seen some women on the beach who have swimsuits on that cover so little they might as well be naked. So, in my particular case, if anyone's wondering if the reason I have a swimsuit pic up is to suggest "Come'n git it," well, hardly. I have swimsuit pics up because these days I feel like I look pretty damn decent, particularly for being close to 50, and it probably won't be that much longer that I'll be comfortable wearing a swimsuit in public anymore. Hell, even the Miss America, etc., contestants wear swimsuits. Are they considered "easy" because they're wearing them? So gypsy, if you want to put a swimsuit pic on here, then I say go for it. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Isn't the "notice" letting your boss know in advance that you're going
to quit? Welp, looks like he already knows, so why is he asking you to give "notice?" He should be thinking of a replacement in the very near future, and should ask you how long you plan to stay on, and act accordingly, so far as hiring someone for training and what not. |
