I put my stuff in the washer when I got home, and broke it! It sounds like a bearing. Good thing there's a spare washing machine here.

I think it went pretty good at USP&FO. I stopped at AxMan and as long as I was next door, I checked out FantasyHouse. Great big sign "Yes, we know it's not for you." One of the adult stores? Yes. Pretty much a toy store. |

I had a blast working at the Machine Shop yesterday. I have pics I'll put up tonight.
Today's interview (at USFPO on Camp Ripley) went well - I think. I should be home tonight. ~ Mari |

Don't get me wrong. I'm not bashing the military, or anybody serving in it. I just don't believe in killing innocent people for our so called "freedom". Even killing the guilty ones, it tears us up ... |

Anyone willing to put their life on the line for this effed up corrupt country is not right in the head. Unless, they are just in it for the free schooling. Don't ask what you can do for your country. Ask, what your country can do for you. Some of us ARE in it for the country and our fellow citizens... |

Don't forget military woman. Some of us are bad ass, and some are hot (to a guy) I hope.
Each service has wimpy jobs and hard core 'Hooah' jobs. The war - depends on which one. We have a few going on, and in different theaters of operation. Afghanistan - that one makes sense, but it isn't be fought as it should. Iraq - How the hell knows. Drugs - again, not being fought as it should. and then, we have the UN's wars - we shouldn't even be in the United Nations |

You boys are up early - big day planned? I get to learn and use the big lathe today, put a new radiator in the old truck, maybe start putting the diesel engine in the skidloader. I love a job where getting dirty is a sign that I'm working, not a sign that I'm a slob. (My mother would turn white; she spent YEARS trying to get me to "act like a lady.") Have fun, y'all. ~ Mari |

I cited Mel Brooks on a paper in World Religions class. I couldn't remember Torquemada, so I watched "History of the World, part 1" for The Inquisition. Love that song!

About 75% well. I'd really much rather get the job I interviewed for last Tuesday. I'm not so sure I'd want to get deployed with these guys, though. They're Infantry, so there are very few females around, and I prefer being in a unit with at least 4% females.
I have another interview on Wednesday. That job is on post - Camp Ripley, working in the property book office, which is another desk job. Maybe that's not so bad. I'll be 50 in a month and keeping up with the boys is getting tough. How are you tonight, Pol? |

Hi, kids How is everyone tonight?
Job interview today went 75% well. I got hit with the usual "How did you prepare for today's interview?" I had to be honest: "I changed my oil, checked my tires, all the belts and hoses and put my winter survival stuff in the car." They asked me things like how long can you run cat.5 and how do you wire connectors. I told them I use manuals; I don't memorize that sort of thing. They asked me why they should hire me, I told them because I bake. Since losing 130 pounds, I share. Tomorrow, I'll be at the machine shop. Until we figure something out for salary, I'll be getting $12/hour. ~ Mari |

Like I said guys...just check your options...recruitment is down and the recruiters are desperate..... Take your time. Use your head. This can work out nicely for you. Just focus on trying to keep your @ss out of the line of fire. Recruitment numbers - that depends. MN National Guard is at 125& strength. That means we have too many soldiers, and a wait list to get in. |
