Neat! Off road? We did mounted (in vehicles) land navigation today. I didn't learn anything about maps or pluggers (like a GPS) but I did learn who not to follow in a convoy when we get deployed! |

On the older ones, the part above the pin that goes into the 5th wheel lowers to the ground to become the ramp.
at http://www.olive-drab.com/idphoto/id_photos_m915series_m916.php the second to last photo shows the kind we just got Here's the older ones: http://www.jedsite.info/trailers/mike-number-us-0500/m870_series/m870-series.html |

We got new trailers, for carrying the heavy equipment (bulldozer, loader, etc.)
Instead of disconnecting at the 5th wheel, they have hydraulic, and disconnect at pins, behind the goose neck. I prefer winching it back to the 5th wheel - you don't have to hit it dead on. Do you drive the trucks too, Dozzer, or just the heavy equipment? |

It's a government job, you know, so my start date is the 15th, but that's Sunday, so it's the 16th, but they have every other Monday off, so I start on the 17th.
I said I'd wear something green (Army uniform is required) Run, yes, run. I need to knock 4:07 off my time, by April 3. And figure out how to do situps. For some reason, I could only do 3. But I could do 40% more pushups than I needed to. Go figure! |

It was great! Real good flavor. Reheated pretty good too. Had to do some taste tests.......... Do you require an extra piece of meat - for the grill? Hi all. I survived another weekend, although I was so sore last night, I couldn't put my shoes back on after the afternoon 2-mile run. Good thing we have cots, and a full bar. |

Run? Is there someone chasing you? I thought you knew how to shoot. I guess they want to make sure that we won't die from all the protection they give us. DoD finally said "That's too heavy." 73 pounds was alright, but 74 pounds, now that's too much... |

So tomorrow start the training?...You will have to follow this til you do the real test?... 4:30 comes really early... No. we're supposed to always be training, on our own. In January, they started A remedial PT program for those who are overwieght, or failed the last PT test. I went in - the only soldier not required to be there - because I need the extra incentive. We're having a practice PT test tomorrow, so that we each know what we need to work on, for next month. PT in my unit is fun. We usually play Dodge Ball. And I usually come away bleeding. I tell those boys i'm older than their mothers, but they still pummle me. |

It's an Army thing. Once a year PT test. Tomorrow is a practice test. The real one is in April. Although I will be 50 the day before the test in April, I get no extra time.
