I have a friend, a guy, and he has been in Iraq for the past year. He gets a call on his birthday (October) and his wife tells hime she just slept with his best friend AND she has blown through about $45,000 of his hard earned money. He divorced her (December) and came back to the states. He is po'd, talking about doing a tour in Afghanistan and recouping his losses. After a long talk, he decides to take a job in the same state he is from and work on "himself, his relationship with his children and his home", which she left trashed. I get a call from him tonight (February) and guess what - he has met the (new) love of his life and he is so happy. Ok - W.T.F.??? What happened to taking some time off and getting your life together?

I have another friend, a guy, who is not yet divorced, owns a fantastic business, has 2 beautiful children, and decides that sleeping at home alone in an empty apartment sucks so he does the first pretty woman he can find and gues what? Yep, she's pregnant. Now he is calling and singing the blues because he feels trapped. Again...W.T.F.??? What happened to taking some time off and getting your life together?

I am at a loss that people are so quick to find "the one", no, not "that one" but the "other one" instead of just taking a deep breath, focusing on themselves and figuring out what they want to do with their lives. When does a pretty face and good lay take precidence over ones own children, ones own piece of mind, ones own freedom???

Sorry for venting guys...Just frustrated.

I woke this morning, sun shining down on me
Alone in this house, nobody but me
I hurriedly dressed, makeup and hair
Then off to work I went, with out a care

Beautiful dress, soft purple and black
lace stockings and garter, hair streaming down my back
I felt beautiful, this would be a good day
climbed into my car and went on my way

Meetings all day, can't wait to escape
The wind softly calling me, come out and play
Sunglasses on and windows rolled down
An afternoon drive through my hometown

Not a person I knew, not even a glance
No eyes meeting in traffic, no second chance
to make a connection with friend or with stranger
No thrill of excitement, no hint of danger

Some days I feel as if I am not even here
No one can see me, like you can not see the air
Invisible to everyone...even to me
Invisible to everyone...not wanting to be.

Negativity...condescending...the "Eeyore" syndrome. I like to be happy and it doesn't take much. Being surrounded by someone always b!tching and moaning aggravates me.
