Tampa and the fort are tight. Because of the last hurricane disaster and the economy houses are cheap and for sale everywhere. Financing and insurance are impossible. Cost of living is high getting higher due to freight rates below Interstate 10 and truckers refusing to go down there because of piracy and theft. Tampa is nice. Quite a diverse mix of people. From snowbirds and bluehair retirees to business execs doing business to locals born and bred there. thanks so north or east of tampa?

What do you think about the Tampa - Clearwater area? Jobs, cost of living, nightlife, beaches? ...yuk, yuk, yuk, and yuk. Clearwater florida. 40 miles of stoplights and stripjoints and so much more! What do you think about Tampa?

Cost of living is low unless you live on the strip. And spend your allowance in the stripjoints. East of clearwater is very inexpensive. But those stoplights during the summer season events are brutal. Gas is comparable. Impossible during those wonderful hurricane seasons. Its humid year round. Jobs- the economy is what it is. thanks for the advice I allways appreciate it

Moving to Florida and need sugestions for nice towns or areas. What is the best North, South, East or West? It doesn't matter. All of the beach communities look the same, and most of the inland cities look the same. Beware of the senior citizen drivers! They are everywhere and cause a lot of accidents. I can't wait to move out of Florida. Good luck and welcome! We have senior citizen drivers too. There everywhere.
