I had TOTALLY different thoughts running through my head when I saw the title of this thread!
I was having flashbacks of an old boyfriend from high school!

I lived in the Memphis area (Millington) for several years(about 13 years ago).
There are many places to go as mentioned above. Shelby-Meeman state park is right beside the river... nice place. I learned to drive there... and I only backed into one tree! 
Memphis has had it's ups and downs over the years as many places have. Honestly, I'd consider moving back to the area if I didn't already have a good job where I am. You might want to consider some of the outlying areas instead of Memphis proper... but that would depend on where you were working. There is a great concern venue on Mud Island (on the river, in downtown). Larger acts come there often. There's Beale Street for blues and jazz, there are various clubs, attractions, etc. If you're an Elvis fan there's Graceland. I personally wouldn't go back, but then again I've been so many times when family & friends came to visit that I could do the tour word for word. Memphis has a lot of offer. I know that many companies are offering a decent wage to bring professionals to the area. It hit a slump a few years back, but is coming back up. |

I think once there is a level of comfort between you that you should be able to begin discussing things from your past. Only the two of you will know when that is. I certainly don't suggest it in the first bit of communication, except in general passing that you were recently in a relationship, it is ended, etc.

i would like to commend whomever got the site up and running again. and to the few "adults" who whined like children when the site was down,remember 2 things...!) you get what you pay for (this is a FREE site,expect nothing) and 2) if your entire life revolves around ANY site, perhaps you should prioritize your life a tad better. be seeing you Oh, come on... you know you were  like a baby.
