It's almost indescribable,
The shock you sent through my senses...
It's as if they were completely dead
And you brought them back to life.
You awakened them from an abysmal slumber.

Suddenly my eyesight returned!
It was like I had been looking through a fog my entire life,
But then you walked in
And the fog lifted.
Your beautiful face shone so brightly
That it shattered the darkness.
Your body is a thief.
Just the sight of it,
Stole the air from my lungs!
That body that only a god could possess,
Captivated my sight...
Our eyes met and I felt as if we could see into each other'��s souls
Read each other'��s inmost thoughts
Our darkest secrets and burning desires...
Oh it feels good to see again!

But it wasn't just my vision you restored.
You repaired my hearing as well.
I guess I was deaf...
Or had my ears plugged.
Silence surrounded me,
But then you spoke.
Your voice, like that of an angel,
Broke the sound barrier.
Your voice that calms me when I�'m afraid,
Soothes and comforts when I'��m in pain,
That voice,
When I hear just one note of your sweet speech,
A smile breaks across my face :)
Your voice is my favorite music!

Another of my senses that you re-awakened is my sense of smell.
God, the intoxicating scent of your skin
Lingers in my thoughts
And I constantly crave it!
The sweetest of perfumes or most potent of aromas
Cannot compare to your fragrance...
Your essence...
It inflames my throat!

And when you brought that sense back to life
My sense of taste was revitalized.
The most delectable candy on the earth,
The richest foods,
Are put to shame.
Your lips,
Your tongue,
Your skin...
I have never craved food like I crave the taste of you.
You awakened a hunger in me that I didn't know existed!

All of these senses are new
And thrilling
And exciting!
But the one sense you have most deeply awakened within me
Is my sense of touch.
I was completely numb...
Nothing I felt before I met you could have been reality.
But now... the things I can feel!
The touch of your lips to mine
Sends sparks shooting through my entire being.
Your fingertips, caressing my skin, leave flaming trails behind them.
Your touch arouses a feeling
That nothing in this world can compare to!
No high,
No adrenaline rush,
Nothing... can satisfy me the way your touch does.
You are my drug....
Like heroine shooting through my veins when I’m in your presence
When I see you,
Hear you,
Smell you,
Taste you,
Feel you...
My senses are electrified and intensified
To a state they have never approached before.
This.... is bliss :)

In the middle of the ocean
Slowly I'm drowning,
There's no one to hear my screams!
I'm suffocating,
But the harder I struggle,
The further down I sink.
The rain batters my face,
And the current pulls me under.
I can no longer put up a fight.
I give up the battle,
There'��s no more air in my lungs.
I drown in my sorrows tonight...

Side note: I wrote this after a close friend died. I write the best when I'm upset... I really am a happy person though ;) Let me know what you think!
