Hey Debbie,
What's up? Am I not matchable? I know my soul mate is out there somewhere. Is this thread for real?

:D I felt that way at first.. It's helpful to know a little more about what to expect. About once a week (Deb correct me on this), Deb will do the matching.. She'll get a list of about 4-7 guys for you to make contact with. Then you get to learn a whole lot about them throughout the week, make new friends, and sometimes... :D there's a really really nice one or two on your list that you think more than friends about..and sometimes... we get to hear gossipy stories of how you met up and had a great time and things are really going well.. But I haven't been here long enough to hear about the long-term stuff..

All I know is that she is sooo good at it. Even though I haven't found a dating partner, I've met some I wish lived closer so that I could get to know them better... sigh...

So, I need boxes.

noway

Please tell me I'm misunderstanding things.. You've moved from being happy to needing boxes in one night (to my knowledge anyway, lol)..

Oh, curiosity is definitely killing this cat..

Another thing with car companies. The taxes and other restrictions our govt. places on American made products/companies is astounding. When China (or Japan, in this case) can make it at half the cost and ship it over for the other half, while Americans, who on top of 100% cost have to pay union wages, keep union benefits, pay taxes higher than the import taxes on goods, workman's comp, unemployment, etc.. no wonder they're going under. They can't make a "cool" car b/c research and development has to suffer, and that furthers the problem with lower sales.. It's a downward spiral that big govt. just doesn't realize is happening...

Good grief.. They had a lot of nice things to say about Hitler in the beginning, too. Took about 10 yrs. of the US watching from a distance as hundreds of thousands died before we finally stepped in, and I think we made a difference. How long should we have waited on Saddam (he needed a little longer, b/c of resources in that land compared to Germans, but I'm sure the anti-war movement would have freely given it)...We're supposed to learn from mistakes in history, not repeat them.

We were to busy suporting saddam to notice what a bad guy he was. Exactly what did america do when he gassed the Kurds with the gas we sold him? We increased our aid to him. That is a fact. Then when we needed to make him into a bogey man we pulled it out of the pages of history as if it happened yesterday.

There's nothing plausible to that tho. Why would we have needed to make him into a boogey man? What did we gain from that, other than the satisfaction of at least helping those people get on with a normal life? Mistakes should be called out, no doubt, and you're right in that, but to say that Saddam shouldn't have been taken out of power when looking at the entire picture has no merit. And we had no other motive than to make the world a better place. If there is one, I would love to see it.

I am on the fence on this one. My brother up north has worked his way up the ladder from the foundry to admin. at John Deere...great for him!

Where I live...not only is there no Union...we purposefully keep Unions out...ya gotta go to Dallas or Houston for that kind of gig.

At the company that I work for...no union can save your ass. Increased wages and benefits are individually earned...no one gets a free ride. There is no charter dictating the precise outline of one's duties and obligations...for us...we are a team and everyone from management to the newest guy will do any and every part of the job to help out the guys who we work with...the last person who was stupid enough to say "That ain't my job" around me...got fired on the spot.

If you ain't willing to do anything and/or everything for your company...you don't deserve the job. Personally, I got where I am because of individual work ethic.....not because of mob mentality. (in reference to strikes) I would be the first scab to cross a picket line to take the jobs of the people who felt that they are simply entitled to it.

Love the work ethic! Go South)) Unions make people lazy. It's a socialist organization, but I'm like you, I feel sorry for those stuck in places that have to deal with them or risk loosing their jobs b/c the other union guys are holding strike posts behind their backs. Sort of reminds me of the mafia.. ;p

It's the year of the OX!! (Well, a few days ago actually)

"2009 is the year of the earth ox, but the ox's fixed element is water; the mix of the two elements, earth and water, is believed by some to be a destructive blend." --so that's my problem) A pisces Ox.. hmmm.

"Ox (patient, self-sacrificing, jealous, rigid): 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009"

Who's joining me in ruling the world this year?!

Pisces makes you an awesome person!! Ask Etrain) And Rabbit makes you, well..

"Timid and attractive, the Rabbits of the Chinese Zodiac tend to act more like bunnies, whether they like it or not! This Sign is extremely popular and has a wide circle of family and friends."
