the fireworks/parade was a good show, seeing it from the 10th floor of the Hilton was something else as well. After the show and a good 45 minutes to let the crowd filter out we headed to the Bars/Clubs (apparently midtown and downtown) and here is my advice, if you have to go out on thanksgiving night, don't waste your time until after midnight. We must have hit about 5 clubs before we found a crowd more than 5 peeps, and we were the ONLY people other than the staff at the 1 place.
Anyway around 1:30- 2 there were a few places and the crowds were getting thicker. (Personal note) This was my first real effort to hit the clubs since my marriage ending and in hindsight, i can say without any doubt that the clubs are no longer for me. I get more kick out of watching people work the games (pick up attempts, shoot downs whatever) than i get out of actually participating in the action. I now know that i prefer a good bar with good drinks, and interesting conversation with an person that i find appealing, over a club that i would have to YELL just to say hello, its not my style. So we hit the Clubs, did our thing, and made it home safe. I get a kick out of houston man. |

i am fairly new to this site, but have taken a little time to look around and feel out the forums. Aside from the the normal dude looking for a quick hookup, the haters just lookin to hate and the threadkillers i have found some insightful opinions on here.
I am here to make friends and hopefully some activity partners. I have learned in the past that the quick hookup is not what i am looking for. To Fight off any impending loneliness with a big fat "ello to anyone looking for the same. I am on the Westside but work in the Gallaria so not much is out of my way. Lets keep a HOUSTON THREAD ACTIVE as a way to spread the word on whats "poppin off" in this town. There is ALWAYS something. I hit up the Pink Floyd concert last month and it was one of the better concerts i have attended, great show, and i don't even consider myself a huge fan or anything, it was just a great show. Tomorrow is the thanksgiving parade. Now as most peeps are spending it with family, I know about and will be attending the parade/firworks party in the gallaria. I'm hitting the Hilton to party and watch the show from rooftop level and i am told that its a azzzzkickin firework display. i am a transplanted houstonian going on 3 years now so i am still learning everything this city has to offer. SO HUSTONIANS whats happening!!! |

just be yourself, if nervous is who you are then be nervous. or try to figure out why you are nervous, its a reaction to something, a secondary response emotion and then deal with the cause directly. "treat the cause not the symptom"
That or realize that everyone has to take a dump, girls guys whomever. thats always worked for me, knocked everyone down to the same level... TMI i know. and a little nervousness can be a good thing, maybe embrace it. |

i am looking for the ladies opinions on this one.
This question is concerning jewelry on striaght guys,a bi or gay guy can get away with alot more "decoration". That may seem a bit narrowminded but i am simply generalizing, and there are always exceptions. Does the amount of jewelry a guy wears say anything to you? What is appropriate? I guess it depends on an individuals style, as i have seen very "metro" guys who claim to be striaght wear more than some women i know. Anyway in short, a watch, ring(s), bracelet/wristchain necklace/chain, ear/studs. how much is to much? do these need to match? what metals/styles are currently in style? ie. gold, plat, silver, leather, onyx.... and i am inquiring for noticable, outside items, no prince alberts or piercing things that are for the most part hidden. ladies? |

I think I might be able to help here. Did you push the sync button on top of the actual remote by the play and charge port or did you just hit the sync button on the console? yes press the sync button. |

In certain areas down here in La, cologne is free, it goes by many names but I like to call it... Essence of " Paper Mill " A bit overpowering at times yet faint and tolerable at others. Beware of Knock Off Imitations... these are blended with one or more fragrances from sludge and oils of .."leaky sewage, swamp water mold and/or mildew and at times "lowland bottoms sludgecake. These negate any and all "store bought" brands. This just in.. River Edges' "Pier Catch Gel" has been shown to cause possible skin irritation and/or blotching. even some reported cases of conjuctivitis know as "pink eye". well it looks like you killed the thread |
