I understand what you are saying, but if you run from issues here, there are bigger issue somewhere else. my life is settling down now, just looking to find the right partner to live and love life to the fullest with. lately that's been a challenge. New to this after being married 23yrs., hope it's like riding a bike...lol

One of the most beautiful things in the world is a woman's heart.
It's fragil yet strong, delicate yet resilient. when a woman gives you her heart, she give you her most prized possession. if you love, nurture, cherish and protect it, she'll give you the world!!! |

well I'm so glad to know there's somebody else that feel like I do. for awhile thought I was being corny, walks on the beach under the moonlight, strolls in the park ,
picnics, feeding the ducks. small talk about everything or nothing.:flowerforyou The perfect date for me can be many activities, but one of them must include long, engaging conversations, sometimes about a specific subject, or nothing at all in particular, a topic that jsut goes everywhere and mutates one conversation about something as random as cookies to something hilarious like the continuity of William shatner's toupee in the Star trek films! Overall, I value connection and conversation. and even though it's cliche'd I dont think I've ever done it before with anyone: a long walk on a beach shore at night, hand in hand as we possibly share our first kiss. Because I'm a romantic, and I like it like that. |

I agree what you're saying we often make extra stress by picking the person apart before you get to know them, but in my case I feel I screen people so I don't leave myself open for hurt again.

We are all searching in this proverbial pool of potential connections that could lead to brand new adventures like a voyage to the point of love and family. Why do we all seem to either settle or pick apart our own chances? And do we really have the time to ponder? I know a lot of people who settle and pick apart each relationship before it ever had a chance. I don't get it either. There are enough complications in life to hamper our chances of finding compatible relationships without adding our own road blocks. Definitely agree with this! |
