To be honest, the relationship was ended now that I backtrack to that day...but I guess at the time . . . jeez I really cannot explain WHY the heck i typed that, and it makes me feel like a world class idiot!

had a bit of an absence on here as of late but My profile is back up, and I'm debating whether or not breaking it off with someone if i find better, so . . . here I am.
Ladies, try not to crawl over eachother like armies of zombies in order to ask me out.
Kidding, kidding, I have an off-center sense of humor at times. Hope that's cool.

Man, its good to be back!

SEE YA!

This might not win ya brownie points with the women, just so ya know. Screams of selfishness to me. Good luck in your search for better. whoa

you're absolutely right...sometimes I don't dial back my level of eagerness. *sigh

What's the most romantic thing your lady (or potential lady) could do for you in a dating/relationship situation?

Just something big or small that made you think "I'm glad she's with me."

what is the best thing a guy can do for you (or has/is doing for you)?

I'm talking about the sweeping romantic gestures, the things that made you happy to be with this really special someone in your life if you're with him, or if you are single, what's a few things a guy can do to get on your good side in a hurry?

Snow fall is heavy this year
in the mountainous forest range
the temps are heavy with a bitter cold
but i am not one to worry about this
as my fur ruffles around my neck,
a gust of wind brushes at it.

My pups and mate are asleep
in the safety and warmth of our den.
Other creatures know
never to venture within a mile
or they will certainly face this
one's insatiable bloodlust and wrath.
But for now, all is well.
The only discernable sound is the wind,
howling mercilessly in the trees.

I begin my hunt.

Time passes as the afternoon sun turns
into sunset, casting the land in the red colors
of the life-giving orb of warmth in the sky.
I was scavenging for any specks of debris
or food any humans had left behind at a distant
camping ground.
No luck. No humans, either. Pity.

Then i happen upon a large oak.
A large oak with two scurrying dots
darting around its bark.
They will come to ground soon.
They will not see me until I'm right on top of them.

In my jaw there are two squirrels,
for the mate and pup.
They will enjoy these morsels.
I will spend my time playing
with my offspring and we will explore
the land beyond our den together.

My mate wants another baby. Soon.
I am only happy to oblige her tonight!
it is good to be a provider.
To be a mate.
To be hunter. A feared killer.
A prowler of the night.
A wolf.

At the end of the month I'll be entering my (dreaded or distinguished?) mid-30s.

Im looking into visiting a few great sights for photographic reasons, like the Flatiron building, Times Square, Central park, Columbus Circle, Battery park . . .maybe a few other spots too if there's time. The only place I know Im definitely gonna drop try to drop by is The American Museum of natural History and probably grand Central Station too.

Anybody got any great local stories to share, or other sites you've been in NY that deserve a look, I'd love to hear from you. Let's chat!

Outdistancing the pain, or so I thought.
A bunch of misadventures after
moving from bad things to workable to unforseen.

Loved ones leave. Cars break down on old country roads.
If you're strong you survive.
I'll survive this.

I leave the car and my things behind,
and start walking into the wild,
I don't know why.

Trudging thru all the gray thick mud
in these foggy thickets
water sloshing around rubber boots

It's a very long walk across this stream,
yet i remain resolute
sloggin thru for what feels like an hour.

I hear frogs in the distance,
but as I move away the croaks become smaller.
Now I only hear crickets, and its getting dark.

I reach the shore and fall onto
the damp grassy knoll
catching my breath.

I look up and I cant see much
the fog is even more dense
but then theres a stiff breeze

the breeze greets my face with biting cold
my hands go in my pockets
i pull my shirt tighter around me

I see the fog lift and peel away
to reveal an old but comfortable house.
I take steps toward it.

A farmhouse. Abandoned. Forgotten.
Forsaken, like me.
I can see a kitchen light on.

I knock at the door, hoping
whatever residents are here will be kind
to a harmless stranger

The door opens...and I'm greeted
by the sight of a woman my age.
She asks if she can help me.

I tell her my story. Her empathy is appreciated.
She invites me inside.

Hours pass, and we eat, and sit in her living room
as the fire crackles in the hearth.
Our conversation is light, and full of laughter.

I don't know what my future holds,
whether I'll be alone forever, but at this moment,
life has become a small comfort. And I am glad again.

Thinking of where In NYC to go for 34th birthday weekend. Wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Feel free to check my profile, and if you're female and in the area - and are a bit on the adventurous side - feel free to message me personally. Maybe we can find a place to meet up for coffee and light conversation. I like bookstores and cafes, so that's a possibility.

Trying to book a cheap hotel, photograph, hike and explore central park, perhaps hit up the nightlife for a nice dinner and a few drinks. My treat, if you're not a lush.
