False: Illegal Immigrants Will Be Covered One Republican congressman issued a press release claiming that "5,600,000 Illegal Aliens May Be Covered Under Obamacare," and we’ve been peppered with queries about similar claims. They’re not true. In fact, the House bill (the only bill to be formally introduced in its entirety) specifically says that no federal money would be spent on giving illegal immigrants health coverage: H.R. 3200: Sec 246 — NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States. Also, under current law, those in the country illegally don’t qualify for federal health programs. Of interest: About half of illegal immigrants have health insurance now, according to the nonpartisan Pew Hispanic Center, which says those who lack insurance do so principally because their employers don’t offer it. http://www.factcheck.org/2009/08/seven-falsehoods-about-health-care/ You're right. Illegals are not asked for their status and get health care we pay for. The stats are all over the internet. I trust no information that comes out of obama.com Going to the hospital is not the same thing, as americans I would be ashamed of our country if we turned away a sick human being. You are wrong about the bill. I wouldn't turn them away...I'd just send them back to Mexico...where they came from...they have no business accessing anything in this country if they're illegal... |

The passion at the town hall meetings is also a mislead passion, they do not even have legitimate concerns. They have been fed all this garbage and have believed it. It is actually sad to see them so mislead. As for the approval ratings when people are suffering like they are with this recession they need to blame someone even if it is not an accurate target. Bush set this ball in motion, he shoulders the blame for what we are going through now not Obama. just like Obama...blame Bush...if I remember correctly...Obama was their...in the Senate...voting for all this stuff...that he says he inherited...by the way...Obama has made things worse...not better... |

after weeks and months of trying to force feed the American people...programs and policies that the clearly do not want...Obamas numbers continue to slide...and I'm sure...the posters on here will blame Fox news and of course...The Mobfather...
Zogby Interactive Poll: Obama's Job Approval Sinks to Record Low 45% UTICA, New York - President Barack Obama's job approval rating has sunk to a record low of just 45%, the latest Zogby Interactive poll shows. Fifty-one percent of likely voters now say they disapprove of the President's job performance. "None of these numbers looks counter-intuitive to me. Gallup, NBC, and Pew all have Obama at record lows. Rasmussen also shows low approval. Things are volatile out there and news travels fast. There is a lot of anxiety over healthcare," said Zogby International President and CEO John Zogby. "The President let it get away from him and voters are scared right now. They are experiencing sacrifice overload and feel more threatened than empowered. The President is being forced to play defense and he is much better when he is in possession of the ball. But do not underestimate Obama. Last August he was toast." The Zogby Interactive survey of 2,530 likely voters nationwide was conducted Aug. 18-20, 2009, and carries a margin of error of +/- 2.0 percentage points. Zogby International also uses a four-point scale of job performance. Using that measure, this latest survey finds 16% rate his job performance as excellent and 27% as good. Another 11% gave him a fair rating while 45% said his job performance is poor. Both scales show a significant drop from a Zogby International telephone poll conducted July 31-Aug. 4, which showed 53% approving of Obama's job performance, and 38% disapproving. At that time, 51% rated his job performance as excellent or good and 48% rated it as fair or poor. Zogby's last survey showed an improvement over a Zogby Interactive survey conducted July 21-24. Then, 48% approved and 49% disapproved. In that same poll, on the four-point scale, 47% gave Obama excellent or good grades, and 53% chose fair or poor. While this latest poll shows Democrats continue to overwhelmingly approve of Obama's job performance (84%), just 6% of Republicans say the same. Most independents (59%) now disapprove of the job the President is doing. "He has lost support among political independents, that's the biggest change from our last survey. He is also starting to lose support he had picked up among investors and frequent Wal-Mart shoppers -- who both are on the conservative side but where Obama had been making gains," Zogby said. "Remember, Zogby polling has generally been ahead of the curve during the past three administrations." The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 28% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -12 (see trends). Today’s Approval Index rating reflects a slight improvement from yesterday’s record low of -14. The number who Strongly Approve ticked up a point while the number who Strongly Disapprove has moved down a point. Today is the President’s third straight day with an Approval Index rating in negative double digits. He has never had four straight days with such low ratings. The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates also available on Twitter and Facebook. Overall, 49% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Fifty percent (50%) now disapprove. |

As a supporter of Obama, I can only say at this point I am tired of your whining. I guess if your life is that miserable all you can do is repeat the same old crapola. Have a good one, I'm off to live my life and be as productive as I can be. But when I return I imagine you'll have repeated the same old rants of the last 6 months. " I'm off to live my life "...so it ain't so...Joe... ...The Mobfather just said that Obama is a happless college kid...vacationing in Marxist Vineyard... Why do you think that is funny? He's just sore he didn't get the President he wanted. I'm pretty sure...from listening to the Mobfather...that he didn't really care for McCain either...I wasn't happy with McCain...but...I LOVED Sarah...and her Conservative beliefs...McCain was what I like to call a moderate...sort of an Independent...which means...he doesn't stand for anything...at least with the far left...and...the far right...you know where they're coming from... Who the hell is the mobfather? Rush? Really doesn't matter though, the mob doesn't appear to have any one leader. There's plenty of nut cases out there to follow. The fact that you loved Sarah is scarey all by itself. She can't say anything with out getting it wrong. maybe she should take a page out of Obamas book...and read everything that someone else wrote... |

Palin is a psycho crazy lunatic, thank the powers that be she never got any closer to the whitehouse or this country would have surely gone down the tubes. As a woman, I found her appalling. As an intelligent human being, I found her appalling. As an entertaining subject, however, she was hysterical. Agreed. It was only funny after realizing she would not be in the whitehouse though. It's so funny how Liberals...always look to IQ...as the one and only criteria...remember this...120 I Cans...are worth alot more then 120..IQ...Clinton and Obama are proof... |

I rather doubt many here would even acknowledge that the Republicans have been out and out lying about this health care plan, much less care that the lies continue even after they have been debunked. They never cared about Bush's lies, and for this president they actually help to spread the lies. People are using their anger about everything under the sun against this plan. Forget the fact that people are just out and out selfish. All I ever hear in here is whining about people getting a hand out. Take care of your own family members bla bla bla, doesn't matter that many old people have no family to speak of or who care to take them in an care for them. I'd like to see the whiners in here go tell those old people to their faces that they don't feel obligated to help. Oh never mind, please do me a favor and don't post that you would be happy with that assignment. And who said start a charity? That's the perfect way to get out of helping anyone. Let the suckers and bleeding hearts donate, like that would cover the cost. Forget accusing Obama of wanting to kill old people, sh$t you have the people themselves that would much rather kill them off along with anyone who happens to be sick or even down on their luck. I am not rich and never have been but I am damn lucky that I am not in their shoes, though hell I might be one day and never expect it. It still blows me away to find out how really really self centered and selfish people really are. I take good care of myself and I don't eat junk at all. I get plenty of exercises, in fact at 60 I can still work rings around people half my age. But that doesn't get me off the hook. Anything can happen and any one of us could find ourselves in trouble. There's a young man down the road that has been studying to be a veterinarian. He was in great health, ate good, exercised 3 days a week and spent most of his free time studying. He collapsed one day, something happened in his brain. He might bring a dog to the vet in the future, but he won't be the vet. He will be on disability the rest of his life. Anyone want to go tell him he's a waste of time and effort and he should die because his parents can't afford to care for him financially? What sickens me most is that a good number of these republicans are so called christians. Oh and by the way that goes for the leaders on the left as well that would prefer to lie about this plan. there's 300 million people in this country...and...288 million have healthcare that they like and want...so...you and Obama and ALL the DemocRATS...want to take away...from all those happy Americans...their healthcare...change it to a Government run plan...because of 12 million Americans...that just can't afford there own healthcare ?...I don't think so !...and neither do 85% of Americans... Not true. Nice try though. not true ?...what do you have a problem with...it's already been proven that 47 million is counting 20 million illegal aliens...another 8 million make $75,000 a year...but choose NOT to insure themselves...another 7 million or so...are kids...18-21...that feel like its a waste of money at there young age... Proven by who, you? Rush Limbaugh? LOL Not true still. Try again. I posted the numbers a couple of weeks ago...they were from the Labor Department...that aside...even if the number was 40 million...why in the world would you scrap...the greatest healthcare system in the universe...or...tell 260 million people that you're going to take away their private heath insurance...because 15% of the coutry is supposedly...unisured...duh !...don't ya' think they should come up with a plan for the 15% ?...you know they don't ?...because it's not about healthcare...it's all about taking over 20% of the economy...which means...MORE goverment control... Considering that noone will lose their health coverage, that is a lie perpetrated by those who want to put fear into those who want the public option. I guess that negates your argument then huh? I give...there is no arguing with an Obama supporter...you actually made my point...silly...we will ALL be on the government plan...if you'd read the bill...start with page 16...and call me in the morning...I knew there was a reason I didn't hang out on here anymore...all I need now...is for Boo..to tell me..." well at least he's trying "...LOL...regardless of the end result... |

Rush and many others just can't stand that we have a mixed race President. This country is so full of hate and Rush propagates it. And these are the same conservatives that call themselves "christians". Makes me sick. Conservatives Now Outnumber Liberals in All 50 States, Says Gallup Poll Monday, August 17, 2009 By Terence P. Jeffrey, Editor-in-Chief (CNSNews.com) - Self-identified conservatives outnumber self-identified liberals in all 50 states of the union, according to the Gallup Poll. At the same time, more Americans nationwide are saying this year that they are conservative than have made that claim in any of the last four years. In 2009, 40% percent of respondents in Gallup surveys that have interviewed more than 160,000 Americans have said that they are either “conservative” (31%) or “very conservative” (9%). That is the highest percentage in any year since 2004. Only 21% have told Gallup they are liberal, including 16% who say they are “liberal” and 5% who say they are “very liberal.” Thirty-five percent of Americans say they are moderate. During Republican President George W. Bush’s second term, the number of self-identified conservatives as measured by Gallup dropped, riding at a low of 37% as recently as last year. According to new data released by Gallup on Friday, conservatives outnumber liberals in all 50 states--including President Obama’s home state of Illinois--even though Democrats have a significant advantage over Republicans in party identification in 30 states. “In fact, while all 50 states are, to some degree, more conservative than liberal (with the conservative advantage ranging from 1 to 34 points), Gallup's 2009 party ID results indicate that Democrats have significant party ID advantages in 30 states and Republicans in only 4,” said an analysis of the survey results published by Gallup. “Despite the Democratic Party's political strength-- seen in its majority representation in Congress and in state houses across the country--more Americans consider themselves conservative than liberal,” said Gallup’s analysis. “While Gallup polling has found this to be true at the national level over many years, and spanning recent Republican as well as Democratic presidential administrations, the present analysis confirms that the pattern also largely holds at the state level,” said Gallup. “Conservatives outnumber liberals by statistically significant margins in 47 of the 50 states, with the two groups statistically tied in Hawaii, Vermont, and Massachusetts.” Massachusetts, Vermont and Hawaii are the most liberal states, even though conservatives marginally outrank liberals even there. In Massachusetts, according to Gallup, 30% say they are conservative and 29% say they are liberal, a difference that falls within the margin of error for the state. In Vermont, 29% say they are conservative and 28% say they are liberal, which also falls within the survey’s margin of error for the state. In Hawaii, 29% say they are conservative and 24% say they are liberal, which falls within the margin of error for that state. In one non-state jurisdiction covered by the survey, liberals did outnumber conservatives. That was Washington, D.C., where 37% said they were liberal, 35% said they were moderate and 23% said they were conservative. Even in New York and New Jersey, conservatives outnumber liberals by 6 percentage points, according to Gallup. In those states, 32% say they are conservative and 26% say they are liberal. In Connecticut, conservatives outnumber liberals by 7 points, 31% to 24%. Alabama is the state that comes closest to a conservative majority. In that state, according to Gallup, 49% say they are conservative and 15% say they are liberal. In President Obama’s home state of Illinois, conservatives outnumber liberals, 35% to 23%. Gallup's results were derived from interviewing 160,236 American adults between Jan. 2, 2009 and June 30, 2009. Even though conservatives outnumber liberals in all 50 states, in 21 of these states self-identified moderates outnumber conservatives, and in 4 states the percentage saying they are conservative and the percentage saying they are moderate is exactly the same. The two states with the highest percentage of self-identified moderates are Hawaii and Rhode Island, where 43% say they are moderate |

People being nervous in a time of recession is normal. As long as they do not buy into the "blame Obama for it all" that seems to be going around and realize that this recession started way before he got elected. Obama is trying to fix what is wrong in this country. He is not trying to take us down as is being portrayed by the nay sayers. He will not be able to fix everything by the end of his term because recession usually lasts longer than a presidential term. Everyone seems to want to blame someone for the down fall but if they want to lay blame they need to look at our last president. We are reaping what he sowed now.
