I feel that the Republicans are not using common sense with this issue. I was not going to touch this thread with a 10 foot pole for a lot of reasons but I have to. First, I smoke. I'm an idiot. I know all of the risks, and have read all of the warnings. I make a choice. I have that right. Stupid though it is. Who knows for sure about the cancer thing? I do. My 37 yr old husband DIED from lung cancer and had smoked since he was 16. Do not give me the possibility of being pre disposed or genetics. OVER 85% of all lung cancers are from smoking. Maybe they should slap a sin tax on cigs. That should help cover the increase that everyone else has to pay in health care cost, when 99% of the people posting in this thread are diagnosed with lung cancer in the next 10-20 yrs and suddenly decide (like my husband did) oh Sh!t I don't want to die...hit me with all the chemos, radiations and surgery you have! But, it is our right to smoke and by god we'll show them not to tell US what to do!  ...I couldn't have said it any better...I'm a non smoker...but...a pro...Freedom and Liberty American..
