Internet dating has worked out better for me in one year than trying to meet someone in the real world in five years since my last relationship, so I'm not knocking it.

Doesn't mean that I'm limiting myself to this but I tried singles clubs and didn't like them. At least if I'm sitting at home with my computer switched on and nobody wanting to talk to me I don't have to be completely bored and wishing that I had just stayed at home and watched TV or something else instead.

It's maybe true that if I don't go out no woman is going to come knocking on my door but it just takes one woman to like my profile enough to nudge or message me if I'm on a dating site and that's happened before and led to dating.

Anyway, I do want to get out more and try some new things to meet people this year but give me a chance. I still haven't got over the last year yet and this is Scotland and it's the middle of bloody winter.
