Well it doesn't help that you come from Nigeria where most of the scammers seem to come from. I would suggest being more active on the forums so people can get to know you better. You'll probably make more friends that way too.

Izzy is correct. Lagos is particularly famous ....a scammers capital if you will. You will have to overcome your nations bad reputation online, unfortunately. Welcome to the forums. There are Nigerians here proving the stereotype wrong everyday. Not without effort tho. yea it was really true that Lagos full of scammer due to unemployement that is happening in our country but i did it think this could be the way to success because if you steal to gathering things.all would soon be scattered while it comes to time of enjoyment. My Dear friends i cant dupe nor steal just of money which is VERNITY.i have my own work which am doing to leave better life. One Love. |

I agree 100% to many scammers come from there! you just have to be very careful! you also run into people that are from Ghana that are like that, why they doo that I will never know and it could be maybe the pictures they have are not there's? and maybe you could think your talking to a lady when it could be a man? use good judgement. |

Most people just are not up for international relationships. Why put yourself out there on a hook for someone and then have a local swoop in and blow you out of the water?

Most people just are not up for international relationships. Why put yourself out there on a hook for someone and then have a local swoop in and blow you out of the water? This. I have a hard enough time maintaining anything with someone in the US, what the hell am I supposed to do with a guy on another continent, if I was even interested in them? Which I'm not, but yeah....I've told several people to try dating people in their own country, but my suggestions fall on deaf ears... |

I really don't get the point of that kind of long distance relationship. It's like saying I could date someone fairly close by or I could date someone only online because I have no chance of actually meeting them. At least I know the person on the other side of the world can't kill me. lol

But yeah, LDRs are a massive pain in the ***, no way would I go into one from another country. Ever. |

Well I very rarely give my address to people on the net. I'm more likely to say I'll meet you at the local grocery store. Even if I gave my full name you couldn't find me in the phone book either. Got a cell and it aint listed.

Hackers can find you if they want to. If they're any good. I pissed off a guy once and he claimed he was going to blow up my computer. Obviously he didn't. Such a lightweight....
I agreed to meet a guy in front of the bus stop years ago, when I lived in Seattle. He turned out to be a troll, looked nothing like his pic, so I left him there, before he could see me. Went to the Starbucks down the street and had coffee, then caught the next bus home. In the pouring rain. He texted me later, all pissed off, "I waited out there for 2 hours!!!!" Not my problem, loser, next time don't use fake pics. And who waits 2 hours in the rain for someone they don't even know??? |

Yeah. But at least I'm going to make them really work for that info.

Some people do like a challenge.
I like some challenges. That's why I decided to make cheese.
What kind?
Mozzarella. I got it to work out the first time and then the next 4 or 5 time I ended up making cream cheese till I figured out the instruction I was following was BS. They said to use one tab of rennet and it wasn't enough. I found out that using two tabs of rennet was what was needed.

Sounds delicious. I made chicken and cream cheese pinwheels a few days ago, very good....
I used to talk to a guy who made his own beer. I think that might be a good trade to have. Unless it's ale, I hate ale. |

I've thought about trying to make beer. But I don't drink so it would be pointless.
