TSA is a farce (article)

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/03/11/10-of-the-most-shocking-revealing-secrets-from-an-alleged-former-tsa-agent-its-all-for-show/ The New York Post on Sunday published an op-ed from someone claiming to be a former TSA agent at Newark’s Liberty Airport, the same airport where agents failed to detect a fake bomb sent through during secret test last month. According to the op-ed, such a mistake isn’t really that surprising considering the culture at TSA. Below, we’ve excerpted the 10 most shocking admissions the person makes. 10. I’ve had to screen small children and explain to their parents I had no choice but to “check” them. I would only place my hands on their arms and bottom half of their legs, and the entire “pat-down” lasted 10 seconds. This goes completely against TSA procedure. 9. Did you know you don’t need a high-school diploma or GED to work as a security screener? These are the same screeners that TSA chief John Pistole and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano refer to as a first-class first line of defense in the war on terror. 8. When there are internal tests, conducted by the Newark training department, it’s easy to cheat because they use our co-workers. You could be working with someone all morning, and then they’re gone. Word gets around the checkpoint. Someone will come over to you and say, “Hey, it’s Joe. He’s got a blue duffel bag.” 7. We always said it’s not a question of if terrorists get through — it’s a question of when. Our feeling is nothing’s happened because they haven’t wanted it to happen. We’re not any big deterrent. It’s all for show. 6. Most TSA screeners know their job is a complete joke. Their goal is to use this as a stepping stone to another government agency. 5. We work in a culture where common sense has no place. All but a very few TSA personnel know they’re employed by a bottom-of-the-barrel agency. Our first question to anyone in a wheelchair is to ask if they’re able to stand for a pat-down. If someone is in a wheelchair, he likely can’t stand. Even when they’re sitting, we’re required to ask them to move so we can check under their buttocks. 4. Supervisors play absolutely no role in day-to-day functions except to tell you not to chew gum. Gum chewing is a huge issue with management. 3. Goofing off and half-hour-long bathroom breaks are the only way to break up the monotony. There is also a lot of ogling of female passengers by the male screeners. So, ladies, cover up when you get to the airport. These guys are checking you out constantly. 2. Screeners start at $15 per hour, and there is tons of overtime — mainly because they are filling in for the many screeners who don’t bother coming to work. For every 40 hours you work, you receive four hours of vacation and four hours of sick time. 1. One screener didn’t come to work for four weeks. When he finally reappeared, he asked for another week off. The answer was no. So what did this brainiac decide to do? He took another week off — and didn’t get terminated. Feel safer? |

I suspect Steve, her basnastardly king, made off with her again. It's okay. She always comes back to me when she wants the best. |

Don't tell the biotchy queen but they're her undergarments. And I'm kinky. He gave me some basnastardly room service a bit ago. Muuuuuhahhahhah! It's true. And my kittenbiotch was very good and grateful to this heavenlybasnastard. She even left me a $20 tip on the nightstand. |

What say you? The directions say the process will go faster if the computer is left on overnight, but it seems that would use too much power supply juice.

I'm 5'2", around a 100Lbs, the Average Man could simply do whatever he wanted with me; my .38 is the only thing I have to make me an Equal to a Rapist, or anyother man that wishs to do me harm when I'm in Public. I ALWAYS CARRY my Gun when I'm out; and not to leave anything to chance, with a Toy Gun (That looks like my .38 but for the Orange plastic) I practice with my Husband on what to do if the Unthinkable happens - Attacked from behind, grabbed from the side, different forms of assaults so that I would have a basic plan pre-programmed if I need it; and practice with my Husband tends to be Fun, Fun, Fun. No one who trys to Disarm me is my Friend, though I'm forgiving of the Well Meaning Ignorent who had bought into lies; I'd rather have the Perp pee on himself when he's looking down the business end of my gun. my mother is similarly petite, and has a gun < A GUN Im not for banning guns, and Im not ANTI gun, I am for REGLUATING guns do I want petite women such as yourself to not be able to defend themself with a gun,, NO do I want mentally ill persons like james holmes to acquire an ARSENAL of weapons ,, NO people pretend like the issue is simple and black and white(not you specifically), but there IS common sense middle ground between the two extremes of gun banning and complete freedom of weapon ownership,,,,, And if you Regulate a Women to Not have a Gun, and she is Killed without the Means to Defend Herself; Then What? Before we start to Pass New Laws, how about we Enforce the Laws that are Already on the Books; Criminals don't buy their Weapons by Legal Means. who supports regulations that prevent women from having 'a gun'? yes, we need to enforce the laws and allow them to evolve with the technology,,, and people who dont do things legally , are therefore called 'criminals',, goes without saying that they dont follow the laws... nope, Im gonna support preventing UNSTABLE citizens and untrained citizens from acquiring arsenals they can later have conveniently around if they should have a mental breakdown or outburst,,,, "Unstable" citizens? You realize that would require disarming nearly every cop? And what about cars? Unstable people klll other people with cars far more often than guns. In fact, you could virtually eliminate murder and manslaughter by banning cars. And who gets to determine whom is "unstable"? Dr Thomas Szaz has done voluminous research to prove that there is no such thing as "mental illness" as the psychiatrists would have you believe. |

I occasionally hear radio ads for carbonite, and the speaker usually gives out a key code for a discount. I don't have any written down, and I was wondering if any of you know one that still works. Thanks!

Ms 1cynderella. What would your answer be to the question posted? Islam is the only one ACTIVELY murdering non-muslims. They force female genital mutilation. Women are less than cattle. What other religion does this? I think it's atrocious! I think a lot of things are atrocious! I have a right to feel it's atrocious and to say it...at the TOP OF MY LUNGS if I want to. But I live in a country that does not allow this to happen, while still allowing people the freedom to practice their religious beliefs as long as they don't harm others in doing so. Genital mutilation is not a Muslim atrocity, it's not actually a religious practice at all, but a cultural practice that happens to be adopted by several religions as a practice. This is still fairly common practice all over Asia, Africa, India and throughout the Middle east. Besides Muslimism, Hinduism is probably the next biggest religious society that still practices genital mutilation. Genital mutilation is practiced all over the world. It's just considered a cultural norm in many places in the "civilized" West when done to boys. (and yes, circumcision is male genital mutilation) |
