How many times CAN I say "I'm sorry"?

Well....having seen some of the posts you made a while back...I think the amount of times you can say you're sorry is pretty much endless. lol

Seriously, though, there comes a point where sorry just starts to sound like begging. It also, after a while, starts to sound rather insincere. You are the only one who can determine when enough is enough and if the apology isn't going to be accepted, it's time to move on.

Actually...Chevylover was right. I'm incapable of saying it.

You should all understand that this law is for law abiding people to be able to protedt themselves. If you were a woman who had to drive an hour to work through undesirable or vast areas you would want to be sure you had some safety factor if you broke down or were assaulted by a vehicle of young thugs like was attempted on my mother and sister in law. But you gat to work and your not allowed to have you gun locked in your car, then what do you do?

You drive in unsafe areas or have no back up for an unsafe event because other people don't want you to be able to protect yourself.

Do you really think a felon, criminal, thug or anyone else gives a **** about laws ?????

If all the guns in the world vanished you would be stabbed..

If all the knives in the world vanished you would be beat with a bat...

No more bates, the fruing pans come out of the cubbards and we're all getting racked up side the head with a cornbread skillet...

It doesn't end for the bad apple so you better step up and support the second ammendment that was almost taken away from us from people who think we're all too stupid to think for ourselves..

I don't know about you but I don't want to be a victim of someone elses wants....

Just a thought....

What keeps a criminal from breaking into your car to steal your gun? An alarm system? You know that people just tune those out, right?

frustrated sad tears

I can't seem to get Pop-ups, Spam, or Telemarketers..... brokenheart

slaphead Can it be....?????

It's because I report them......frustrated frustrated

After they are fined enough, they will stay away...scared rofl

The funniest thing about the calls I've been getting recently is that they're not even asking for anyone who lives here! And we've had the number about two years now. WRONG numbers from "finance companies"...trying to get money from--someone else.

I heard about this on another site, and thought it was a great answer to telemarketing calls.

They call.

'is Mike Smith there?'

You reply:

'this is Detective Jones. How did you know the victim?'

the person that originally posted it claims that telemarketers hang up quickly.

Pushing Daisies is about a pie-maker who has the power to bring the dead back to life. It is shown on ABC.

This is one funny show.
Any fans?

The new season just started! It's on my "to be DVR-ed" list (kinda like Tivo). Yeah, I watched it last season. The only bit I find annoying is the "26 years, 3 months, 8 days, and 3 hours" bit the announcer does. That kinda grates, but otherwise, it's funny!

PS...do we ever get to hear the "piemaker" 's name? I can't remember ever hearing it.

Anyone know of places in those areas to do karaoke? I only know the Banana Factory and In Cahoots...

Oh, and I forget, only on weekends. Rasher Tierney's has it during the week, but I work nights.

Thanks again...I just had to find out what line it was...

It was interesting...not EVERY train on that line goes all the way to Round Lake, so THAT is a little important to realize.

Depression, ADHD, ODD, OCD, Biporlar, Schitzophrenia, schitzoaffective, conduct disorder, personality disorder.

a lot of men and women swear that their partner is crazy but have the time done even know just how right they are.
Are you or have you been involved with someone you swore was mentally off? Have you been involved with someone you KNEW had a mental health issue? Ive know guys who have stayed with someone mentally ill because of the " physical" benifits"

however in the end a lot of these don't go well because there is not a firm grasp of whats really going on. Im curious what you guys have to say.

I married someone with schizophrenia. She had lost her kids to the court system, and one of them was mine. I thought that the condition was treatable with medication. Living with her for several months apprised me otherwise.

When she was lucid, she was the most loving person I have ever known. Unfortunately, when she wasn't lucid, she got violent.

You know, now that I think about it, I have no idea what book, if any they use for the Oath of Office? There's no mention of God in the Oath, I don't believe? Do they even use a book? Or maybe it's a copy of the Constitution?

Great, now I have to go do research grumble laugh

No they use the bible. The Senators use the bible also. But one Senator used the Kuran but I don't remember the name of the Senator.

The past people in this country felt that swearing to god had a reverence in it. Of course, you have to believe in a god first for there to be reverence in swearing on a bible or kuran for that matter. That is why people in court were required to swear to god. That is changing now though. People are starting to realize that swearing to a god may not be as fear inspiring as was previously thought.

Thanks!

So I know if I want to visit up there, I can get a METRA from Union Station to Round Lake. Because I'm not sure I want to try to drive out of Chicago!

Not used to that level of traffic.

question for Chicagoans...

do the trains still go to Union Station, or somewhere else? (same place, different name?) I haven't been to Chicago proper in 25 years, come from a suburb to the north, in Lake County.
