Hey, it's better than having an enemy with benefits. Or is it?

I'm so confused. Or am I?

What do you think self empowerment is?

How would you go about empowering yourself?

How would you go about helping to empower others?

With or without poison? I'll assume without.

I say it's a state of mind that leads one to the pursuit of knowledge and experience and finding that it was constructive.

Seeking out things you wouldn't normally do or want to know, or refining what you've already experienced.

To have them empower themselves? Suggestion. A little direction with a few words or actions, sometimes using repetitiveness.

Both love and respect require two parties and sometimes great lengths of time. I'm not sure why these are being listed (like a 3rd grader would) as they could never be expected outside of mental disease.

Hold on there partner.

Where I stand? I live in the consistently top three safest places in this fine nation. crime = very low

I didn't make it that way with guns. In fact, concealed carry is brand new. Imagine that!

You make your town top Fifty and THEN I'll let you know where You stand.

Real guns and real grenades.....are real. The school is responding to and from within a culture of gun-toting alcoholics. Our peace officers carry machine guns and don't feel safe. The opposite would be.....a class on how to psychologically ruin your classmate using only hand cannons and moonshine? You can't do that....it's school.

I've seen a recent hunter safety class. The kids are kids....impulsive and as intelligent as the doorknobs that entered them. This should be stayed on top of, but not for such a young age.

chivalry is dead, it seems. laugh

i don't think i've ever been on a first date where the guy didn't insist on paying. i must be old school. ;)

In this one late - sorry!

CHIVALRY!? frown

I, for one, have ALWAYS had issues with this phrase & concept. I thought we were equals? Yeah, I know statistically men make more loot than women, but this mentality could be taken as an affront to the always-present women's equality movement...

For me, I'm paying because:
1. I got it like that
2. I want to show how I don't obsess about money and to illustrate that I am willing to share with those in my life
3. I just so happen to have a stack in my wallet. If I don't, I will say so, and ask her to pay - because we're equal.

Note: the above post contains ~6% sarcasm, 93% just me. Good post; it segways into a topic that is near-n-dear to my heart = relationship equality.

I grew up riding horseback. In doing so, I noticed that the horse done had a mind of its own. In order to test this new-found observation, I kicked it good and it took right off.

Long story short, I like to see if they will pay and see what she does. Dating is an experiment.

Is it pick-pocket midget porn?

She goes to steal the wallet, then he turn around, and all is lined up.

I make it clear before we even meet that it is a dutch thing.....bigsmile

Sure...you say you want to go dutch...but if the guy suggests dutch then
he's an inveterate cheapskate eh?

Not at all I don't feel that the first meet is a date... Just that a meet then if you go out again play it by ear who ever pays that time the next time the other one should pay... I have never had a issue picking up the tab. I do have a issue with someone that is out for a free meal regardless if it is women or men that feel that way...

What if they was homeless, and on food stamps?

Since I'm that picky, it would be easier with the desires list.

For serious dates (dates when a dude might be interested) she has to be young, thin, no blue jeans, nice hair, nice smile, well-composed, no visible tats, smart, dynamic and fun.

Chivalry? That went out after artificial insemination took hold.
We could hack, hack, hack away, and still our competitor could win.

I suspect rather that you will remain dateless...in my day only the desparate girls paid for dates.

tho some of us have gone dutch just so a guy we don't really dig that much will not think he is "owed" intimate favors....creepy

I suspect rather that the desperate girls Still pay for dates.

Hey, it is either them or they have three 1/2 kids.

So there we have it folks.

Free 1

Pay 1

It's gridlock. Time to set a social construct where the woman always pays to break it.

You got offered some damn head.

Yeah? well, so not cool at dinner in a family diner, with kids around.

Actually, those are the best times to pull something like that.

Kudos to him. Sucks to you.
