I told a man (the one that wanted to give me a ring after not even a week) today that he was way too quick with things. He said he still wants to see me alot but the ball is in my court. I really don't want to call him again but do you think that is rude of me?? If he is telling you that seeing him again is going to be based on whether or not you accept the ring...the answer should be obvious. I made it clear that it was way too soon to accept a ring but he still wants to see me and I really don't but I dont want to be rude. 
Then don't be rude There are ways to talk to people. The next time he calls, talk to him like a friends and explain to him that your not interested. I don't mean come out and say. I don't want to talk to you any more.
The thing i don't like about alot of people. they are rude and don't realized sometimes what they may of said. So when it happens to me. I let them down easy,but if there pushy. then you get a little stronger on them. You are right.

Definitely agree with the running thing, but I did have a question. Would it be a bad idea to tell him why you are running? I don't mean calling if you can do email or something. I know he'll get the idea eventually, but without a "Dear John" he may rationalize it away some other way. And if he tries contacting again after that, ignore it, you've said your piece. Or just leave it as is, with him waiting for you to contact him. I don't know. Good question. I would feel bad not telling him why and just having him figure it out on his own so I will be letting him know that I'm not sticking around is because it's just way to fast for my likings.
