I had 2 married men contact me in one week huh ... only thing I can say to their credit is that they were both 'honest' about their status (and both claimed to be committed to their wives despite 'seeing what was out there'). Thanks, but NO thanks ... aye eye iye.

Be sure and let us know if you notice a huge increase in the number of 'pervs' your profile gets after that info hits the board! laugh

is it possible for a woman to like a average guy?

I've said it once, I'll say it again ... I think at this point I could fall in love with a troll if he engaged me intellectually and emotionally ... and had a killer sense of humour!

Know what, you're probably the 109293th guy to start a topic like this 'where are all the good women gone' - and the same answers get tossed around each time.

There are GREAT men and women everywhere, but it's going to take more than a handful of posts on a new board to find the one that's right for you. Ranting and raving about how you were 'done wrong' is never really a drawing card for the opposite sex.

You're frustrated and hurt, we've all been there and it sucks - no one is denying that. Just keep in mind that every faithful, loving, caring female who reads your posts is looking for a man who is in a positive, open and receptive frame of mind, or he won't be able to see her over his bitterness.

Good luck and try to be patient - with yourself and the women you'll come across.
thanks you are a sweet person. life goes on i just wanted to know if others see some the way i do

*sad chuckle* It's all an act -- I've actually spent the better part of today wanting to scream to anyone who will listen 'Meanie boyz! They all have hamster brains' cuz I've had my share of disappointments lately ... but the fact is, ya just gotta pick yourself up, dust yourself off and believe (deep, deep down) that the goodness you put out there will find its way back to you. Chin up ... we're all fighting a tough battle! ohwell

Such a shame. I failed Latin MISERABLY in High School....lmao

Honestly, bad grammar really doesn't bother me as much as bad spelling. I understand that everyone makes typos...but they are easy enough to fix if the person that makes them just looks back at what they typed.

sad You had the privilege of studying LATIN in high school? All we were offered was French and Spanish ... life is so unfair! brokenheart

(and you wondered WTH you'd ever use that silly ol' language for bigsmile)

Well, ya gotta hold a little somethin' back for the first email right? (altho' if it's somethin' she might find skeery, ya might wanna save it for the 2nd or 3rd email!)

I'm a big fan of the written word, so I always appreciate a man who is articulate and expressive -- especially online when the words on the screen are your primary means of learning about the other person. Well done - from someone else who fails to grasp the term 'brief' blurb! bigsmile

Yeah....I kinda kept thinking of stuff as I was going along.

I don't know about you, but one thing that will really get my attention is someone who is well spoken, but not snobbish about it.

That and good looking eyes and I am done for.love

I didn't realize how much proper spelling and good grammar meant to me until I started meeting people online -- not to sound snooty and elitist, but when I see someone has taken the time to proof read and spell check their profile (1st impressions, right?) it speaks volumes to me ... and if he throws in some Latin (imo the coolest dead language EVER love), well, I'm toast! lol blushing

ETA: A smiling photo of yourself would probably be a great addition - it's more inviting and 'warms it up' a little.

Lengthy, yes -- but very well written and an easy, informative read ... anyone deserving of your time and energy will spend hers reading through to the end!

Best of luck with your search, sounds like you have a lot to offer the right woman!

Curried chicken with Naan bread *licks lips*

What is Naan bread? The chicken dish sounds good. Hope you find Jerry.

Naan bread is kind of like pita bread - it's an Indian bread ... deliciously delicious! If you (or Jerry ) were here I'd serve Basmati rice as well, but since I'm cookin' for myself, I'm settlin' for the bread as my carb of choice!

I like eastern foods. Sounds delightful.

Mild or hot curry paste? (so I know for next time? )

Mild, if I'm in a public place. Curry can make me perspire.....a lot.

Perfect! *makes note on grocery list*

I've had a couple really clever, amusing takes on my Seinfeld references in my profile -- unfortunately, the one that made me laugh the loudest came from someone who was MARRIED ... grumble
