heres a quote from jerry seinfeld pertaining to this
"In order for a man and a woman to be friends without anything else, they have to find eachother at least vaguely repulsive"laugh

laugh laugh laugh

Nah, thats not true. But must admit, it is much easier to be just friends when there is no sexual attraction, or the situation makes sex basically 99.99% out of the question. I have a 'big sister" friend who I have known over 23 years. She told me many years ago "you are the only man I have really known that has never made a pass at me".

The other, well she 100% lesbian. She is very beautiful and I am attracted to her, but care about the friendship a LOT more than trying to make a stupid move, where I would not get anywhere anyhow, and ruin a great friendship.

So part is attraction and the other important factor that everyone should practice, that's called SELF CONTROL! bigsmile flowerforyou flowerforyou

Every time a man has said this to me he has wanted sex included in our "friendship". I prefer to take things slow but also don't sleep with my friends!

LOL, oh I understand what you are saying there. Just goes to show you..MOST men don't even know 2+2.

And BOTH genders are losing "definitions" by the DAY! They have no clue of what words actually mean or that they actually have weight.

IQ's are already averaging in DOUBLE DIGITS!!! noway

So best advice...be really careful how you choose your FRIENDS! drinker bigsmile flowerforyou flowerforyou

Hmm, means exactly what it says. FREINDS before ANYTHING else.

Words do have meaning..specific meanings in fact. bigsmile

What's 2+2??? About the same complexity. drinker flowerforyou flowerforyou

I know everyone is asking why they can't get laid, but thats too far ahead for me, so my question is...

WHY CAN'T I GET A DATE!? laugh

LOL..because you spend your time here, instead of where the REAL people are.

Take it from Lex (the mod) , I THINK he said he didn;t see ANYONE "datable" (that must INCLUDE me) on here. noway  laugh laugh laugh

So go out in the REAL WORLD and find a REAL girlfriend! drinker drinker laugh laugh flowerforyou flowerforyou

Well to try to think you will change anything as far as his actions..kinda stupid. You could possibly make the situation worse for her.

And your daughter does NOT have to go with your ex if she does not want to.

The courts have started to rule that just because a parent has visitation rights, does NOT mean they MUST go.

This happened with my son years ago when he was about 12 and living with me. I discussed the situation with my attorney. Then I sat down with my son and let him know he does have a say (by law). Visitation right are granted, however the child MAY refuse. As long as you are not forcing her to stay, and not impeding in anyway to stop or hinder the visitation, she is allowed to just say "no".

Your ex may call the police, etc, etc..however if the police were to arrive, they would see you are not in violation of anything. That is your child, you are not witholding her against her will or in any manner, so basically, nothing they can do nor are you in trouble because you are not in violation of anything.

Remember, the only person in this world you have "control" over, is yourself. Trying to "make a call" has the potential of making things worse for your daughter. flowerforyou

marrying yourself..

and i'm serious here

say you tried and tried for a long time to find the "one" and it just seemed you always got hurt

would you actually ever consider marrying yourself..

watched a movie about it once
woman did it. to show women that they didnt need to be married to a man to be happy or have a man in thier lives to be happy and that they needed to love themselves and be happy alone before anything else

There you said the whole point... "they needed to love themselves and be happy alone before anything else".

This is true for EVERYONE, not just women. But to say a person could not be happier with a mate, well I would just have to disagree with that one. We are made social, sexual and creatures with complex thought and feelings. We NEED interaction as humans.

That's why we are here..isn't it? flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou

No forgivness is within each of us it just depends if we have learned to forgive.flowerforyou

Could forgiveness not be defined as letting go of anger, resentment, bad feelings towards another?

Forgiveness is a choice we all make. flowerforyou

Wow ! That's great! A lot of guitarists here too! Lex may have to put you over on keyboard, since we are lacking in that area of the JSH band. drinker laugh

Music is such a great thing. And I love watching musicians. It's such an incredible talent to do what everyone does.

I tried to play guitar for about a year and a half when I was young..and I practiced! But I simply do not have the talent in the fingers to be real good. I could play the slow stuff, but never would be good enough to even be considered a "good" guitarist. So I jumped over to the drums and found it a lot more my style.

But to me, there is almost nothing that can compare to great music. To all those with the talent, I salute you! drinker drinker drinker

What's your favorite instrument? And why? Do you play? drinker

Acoustic guitar.. i've been playing for about a month.. (i know, not long) .. but it already feels like a passion!

That's cool! GREAT instrument! drinker

There is a guy by the name of Jim Stafford. He has been in a couple of older movies, but is more known for his standup comedy. He had a place in Branson, MO. (not sure if its still there).

The man is INCREDIBLE on the acoustic and plays an INCREDIBLE 12 string!!! You might want to take a look just to see. AWESOME talent! drinker

I agree with the two posters on the drums. That's my instrument of choice as well. Only one real bad thing about them..they don't travel well and you can't just carry them around with you like a guitar or a harp. drinker laugh bigsmile
