In answer to your question on Florida bound, when I signed up here I
didn't really think I would find anyone worth moving for. Guess what?
wednesday I pick up a truck and by Friday I should be on my way to Ohio,
permanately. I still wonder what God has in store for me, but I know I
have someone who will Help in a way nobody else has.

knowing it is not a dream makes it worth it.

While reading today I saw the beauty a rock holds inside. The edges worn
smooth from the years of rolling along the path of our dreams. These
dreams from the past shine as we come closer to them, to be able to see
the chips on the shoulders wear away, and knowing how much wear and tear
this rock has sustained to become round. Rounded as the memories from
the past remind me of what to expect from the future.

To know that in time the chips that have broken off and been smoothed
over were necessary to become who I am today. As this rock seems to roll
down a hill towards a path only it knows, it becomes a part of my being,
its rough edges are no more, its size has become manageable to carry,
and I no longer need to carry it, it seems to roll along and I follow it
up the streams and down the hillsides watching it polish itself on the
sands of time. Waiting for the finished product yet knowing it will
never be finished in its shine.

Who watches the rock become stone? Who watches the stone become rounded?
Who watches this rounded stone become a gem? Only in time can I see this
rock of granite become the polished marble that we stand in awe before
and wonder what other beauty shines from within.

I have followed this rock for many years, and soon it will travel again
across these lands to a place of beauty. A beauty that I hold dear in my
heart, a beauty that holds me deep in its arms. Soon these two beauties
will become one and travel the streams of time together. Search the
riverbeds and fords for your rock and it will guide you until the
streams of time give up the battle and let the rocks roll together.

I found my Rock, and you can find yours. They are found in the strangest
places, yet they can only be found if you seek within the beauty it
holds.

I am not really sure, but I was told it was necessary to get permission
for me to attend. There were only a few who attended it.

Is the LDS the more modern version of Mormonism or is it just a branch
of the religion?

LDS stands for Latter day Saints, Since the full Title of the Mormon
religion is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" It is
simply a shortened version
Thank you Ghost for helping out, I should have clarified "ritual" what
I did mean was there are no "Secret Rituals" Most mormons know about the
rituals of what occurs in this faith, As Ghost spoke of Temple marriage
and other things only occur in the temple and only those who are found
worthy to carry out the so-called secret rituals are allowed into the
temple to perform them. Just as AB stated this is not unlike any other
rituals performed by other religions. For instance I was granted special
permission years ago to attend my best friends Jewish Wedding. There is
not much difference in certain rituals practiced by most religions I
have studied over the years, they all have a very spiritual ceremony
that only those found worthy are allowed to attend.

Wow I see someone is spreading rumors again about the Mormon Faith
again;
god and his wife were once people too.
Jesus was god and his wife's firstborn son.
Jesus was Adam, before he became Jesus.
god and his wife had "spirit babies" and that's all of us.

Theirs was for so long a society veiled in secrets. It was not until
about 25 to 30 years ago that many of these veils were removed, by those
who either chose to leave the religion, which included leaving their
family, or were asked to leave and therefore shunned by their community.
These were the first to shed light on the secrecy and the beliefs and
the structure of the faith.

I don't think this occurred due to those who left the church, it had to
do with those at the top. It was realized by the presidency of the churh
that it was time to start allowing people to express themselves in
public. For many years it was the philosophy of the church that if you
wish to know more about the mormon faith come to church and find out. To
Learn about who the people are that believe that these days are the
Latter days spoken of in the King James Bible. As a result of many other
things both public and private about the Church the leadership now
speaks out more in public to try to show the rest of the world that the
Mormons are Christian in Faith AND Believe in the King James Bible to be
the word of God as far as it is Translated Correctly.

Each Time I see someone Spout incorrect information about the Mormons I
will come out and tell you what I know about it.

FYI, I was raised Mormon and because of my own beliefs I do Not Call
myself Mormon/LDS, however I will tell you what they practice or do not
practice. Many talk about secret rituals, this is very funny when I hear
that one. There is no secret rituals in the LDS Faith, those who do not
understand or hear only portions of the truth Spout about rituals.

So many people still believe That The Mormons have thier own Bible. This
is not true, The Book of Mormon is the teachings of Christ on this the
North American Continent. It is a history written by prophets in North
America. Whether you believe this or not is not the question, this is
the Belief of those who are Mormon.
