I am just waiting so patiently. It's just I have no idea what it's going to take to get a man to want to date me. It's so hard. First things first, start with friends. Worry about the boyfriend stuff later. Find a hobby that you like where you can meet people who like doing the same thing you do. Then you've already got something in common with them. Go from there. If you're going out of the gate looking for a boyfriend, you're going to be disappointed because guys can smell desperation a mile away. It isn't attractive. Take your time, work on what you can do for you first. The other stuff will come on its own. I can relate with the shyness. I used to be that way. You just have to bite the bullet and put yourself out there. Not all people are bad, but you have to take a risk now and then to find the good ones. I'll get off my soapbox now. Great advice. I like how you said it, but I am not desperate for a guy. I am just alone and hoping to find a guy. That's all. I am focusing on things that matter to me. I am working on my schooling and trying to figure things out of that part of my life. I am also trying to figure out what clubs to join in college, but I will just have to wait and see what happens. Thanks a ton for your advice. |

EXEACTALY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i know it sux.. i didnt have my first bf till a month before i turned 18, but trust me.. you will be ok.. you are pretty, seem smart, and seem to have a sence of humor... not to mention young... you will be fine sweets..

You are only 19! The guys your age are probably still in diapers and think its great being able to drink, get drunk and pass out! Be patient! You have lots of time! Don't be in a hurry! Don't settle for less then what you want!Good luck!

your still young, when i was your age, i was home taking care of my daughter... dont get in a rush, there are plenty of fish yeah, my mom was my age when she had my older half-brother. I am not rushing, I am just wanting to have a guy with me. That's all. I don't want a super serious relationship, but I don't want a really short-term relationship that ends when I sleep with someone. I want more than that, but not too far into a relationship unless I want to. |

That sucks, doesn't it? I never was in a relationship, and I am glad that at least I am still young. However, I don't know what to do with my life, which gets boring each passing day because I have nobody to spend time with. I met a guy, but I think it's all a mistake and I don't want to be with him. However, he is going through a tough time, so I will just wait for things to settle down and I will tell him how I feel. I can't deal with this loneliness anymore. I see people my age with someone, and it kills me knowing that I never had a guy with me. I never had a boyfriend, and I've never been kissed. I feel so lonely at times and wish I had a man who can kiss me and hug me and hold me in his arms. I never experienced that, and it's killing me to see that I never felt loved at all, when there are people my age with somebody. I live in the middle of nowhere, so doing something to get my mind off of all this is not an option since I am not distracted enough. I want to get rid of this loneliness and just for once have a guy come up to me and ask me out. I am too shy to do so, and I fear rejection. I won't reject any guys who ask me out. I don't know why they won't approch me when I am right there. You'd think that if some girl is sitting alone and no guy is near her she is single, but no. I guess I will find a man eventually, or I might just not expect to find anybody. I'll just wait and see. If you read this, thank you for taking the time. I guess just knowing that someone knows how I feel makes me feel better. Thanks a ton!!! Maria That is what this is far- opinions, discussions, laughs, cries, and so on.... Yeah, it is true. I am just waiting ever so patiently for a guy to take me out for the first time. I wish they would just get the courage to come up to me. I wish I had the courage to come up to them and talk to them. It's just the way I wish things were.
