I would sneak in this country for my kids in a heart beat .. Most of us would we just take it for granted because we were born here .. and we know it is not the land of milk and honey .. and the streets are not paved with gold .. the rest of the world thinks we are all rich ..

how about this for a scenerio .. your children are starving .. you live in poverty with little of no hope of any change where you are .. you think if you can get to America you can eat better out of garbage cans then you can in your own country .. your children can get an education .. I would do that for my kids and any parent that wouldn't is a liar .. how about the whole land of opportunity?? jeesh people

Okay swim suit season is just around the corner and I started upping the work out .. I swim and do the treadmill and work the circut I will be adding free weights right now my abs are killing me like I want to throw up .. next week I will add jumping rope .. this is on top of the yoga I do daily up to 3 times a day if I am teaching .. any other suggestions ??

I think that reading profiles....and turning down someone based on their occupation may be causing some to miss some really interesting people. I've read a lot of judgement in this thread and it hit a little close to experience. I am a Professional Trucker. Now I am labeled. So one judges by that tag...and I am passed by. Thats ok....their loss. But they dont bother to find out that I work local and that it is not just a job, but a 30 year career that I take seriously. I'm finding it superficial that the judgements we make so control our decisions. Hmmmm....a trucker and a biker.........might as well deactivate. JMO |

absolutely!!!! Prison overcrowdedness for fist time offenders of drugs(where talking pot here) or probation violations stemming from it. should be weeded out (no pun intended). meth is the new coke, made with acetone and red phospherous these people are straight killing themselves. the health issues aside for a minute, crime rates in area where meth is previlant has increased more so than in areas where pot or some other drug of choice is. it is definately killer (eventually) to the body and the mind, and Im not being metaphoric, where most other drugs work as opiates inhibiting transmitters in the body or by attaching themselves to transmitters throughout the body, meth (and extasy) are actually deteriorating/eating away live brain cells. CT scans of the head show large gapping holes in all sections of the brain----ITS CRAZY!!! BTW  good morning.
Drugs addicts shouldn't be in prisons. They need to be in long term quality rehab. |

u break up with folks at applebees but I have to have at least a few dates with them before I consider a need to explain my actions to them .. how many dates before you should do that would be a good question..

I think so. I have done it, and I'm not sorry. It was a person I met in a dating site, and we went out twice. We met by computer, it ended by computer. I even attached a nice little document about liberal democrats... 
He drank four drinks in an hour on a snowy night at a bar... spewing his hatred over liberal democrats and asserting that he was a republican. He knew nothing about the electoral process, was not a registered voter, and could not state any differences between republicans and democrats. Normally I do not use politics as a dealbreaker, but all he talked about was politics, and he had no idea what he was saying! So he got a Dear John e-mail, with attachent. Now, I did have a guy end a four month relationship in an e-mail titled "Yo"... and that was in poor taste. We'd known each other almost two years....

when I am going to break it off I take the person to Applebees .. I don't care if I ever go back there again it is public so no scene and you can get in and out virtually unscathed .. that is just me ..

No , I actually had that done to me once .. the note said after much thought and consideration I have decided to move on .. so I never called him or anything ran into him about a year later and he asked me to have a drink with him .. had dinner and drinks and when he got up to go the bathroom I left him a note on the napkin ," after much thought and consideration I have decided to move on .....

Well in a perfect world - and last time I checked on line dating was far from it .. we would not ever judge anyone .. but the truth of the matter is that we do .. we size up thier education levels, and I agree what you do should not define who you are .. but it can .. I did not realize how much identity was tied up in a job until I lost mine a few years ago.. I just throw stuff out there and get information.. it is interesting the ones that are really honest and give full and complete well thought answers .. Conversation is a lost art .. who is we? I judge people on an individual basis. The people that I have in my circles of friends also do the same, I refuse to lower my standards to people who cannot think for themselves, and judge people as a group or mob mentality. It's not so far fetched to think that people do have brains and can see that this lawyer was a jerk, but this one is ok... I agree with you conversation is a lost art. I learn the most from people whom I don't agree with, but yet can carry on a respectable conversation and still get their point across without getting defensive, or nasty about it. I may not take their opinion on as my own, but when intelligent respectable responsible conversations are held... I can further my intellectual and spiritual growth. Just my 4 1/2 cents worth of rambling...sorry.... I do that. |
