Soooo...We've finally made it to our destination and i absolutely luv luv luv the area! Its sooo cute! On the other hand it is hard for me to make friends so i'm going to try some new routes this time...
I've already started looking into some sports and possibly some clubs to join but what other ways do you make friends? I think my problem is finding the kind of friends that don't annoy me quickly. I tend to steer clear of people and hardly keep friends because i am very picky about who i associate with (no i don't have stuck up chick syndrome) like said i just like to be able to be comfortable with the people i hang out with. With all that said...any of you out here in the Alexandria VA area? Someone buy me a drink! LoL

I find it funny that my mom had a lot of pet peeves that she passed down to me.....I guess it had more to do with common courtesy, morals, values, etc....but I am crazy when it comes to certain things....
1. If you have company never lay on the couch...always make sure everyone has a seat...its rude otherwise thus causing you to get slapped in front of everyone 2. If you are having dinner at someone else's house always make your plate last and seconds aren't really an option. 3. If your at someone else's house or if you have guests never stay in the bathroom too long especially if there is only one...that will cause yet another slap or to be yelled at. 4. If your at someone else's house always clean up your mess. 5. Never wear out your welcome...do not stay longer than necessary at someone else's house. 6. If you bought food always make sure you brought enough for everyone in the house....cause for another smack if you didn't. LoL ... I am completely crazy about these things too, which is funny cause it used to irritate me when my mami would get mad about it. |

If you knew the REAL story behind the Tuskegee Airmen your heart would be broken and you would be enraged at the same time. These men put their lives on the line for America during WWII and were used for Syphilis experiments as in Infected and refused treatment to see what the long term effects of the disease would be. It wasn't until the 1950s when the military admitted to the experiments. Also the contributions of blacks in the Civil War are so overlooked sometimes. There is stuff people just would not be able to wrap their heads around. But hey, even a bad movie still at least means someone out there remembers! I do know the history...my opinion was strictly based in the movie not the actual events. The base of the movie is fact however the rest of it is purely entertainment...and that's what I was commenting on. It is a very sad time in history, I am glad someone actually made the effort but like said I think if it was directed by someone else I may have enjoyed the movie more. It's like Pearl Harbor...tragic event, shitty movie. Or Titanic...tragic event, long boring azz 3 plus hours of Cameron ego stroking himself. Well said pup.. |
