Topic: Painful to sit through... | |

What are some real stinkers that you started watching because you thought they might be somewhat interesting/entertaining, only to find yourself counting down the minutes to the end?
Recently...Conan The Barbarian (2011) Yeah yeah...I know it supposed to be more true to the novels, but that still didn't make up for how completely horrible this film was. S Darko - If you have seen it then you know what I'm talking about. Anything starring The Rock, Will Ferrel, or Will Smith. |

The last Lord of the Rings movie was so horrible. The Scorpion King,Anchorman, and Men In Black were good movies.

You hated the last Lord of the Rings film, but liked The Scorpion King...? Did you fall down the stairs a couple of times or something? O_o
The last horrible movie I sat through was Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance. The worst ever if I had to name one, is still probably Warriors of Virtue. That movie was so damn bad I spent half of it in the bathroom on purpose making up a much better one. |

If you want Truly Bad check out a horror movie called Birdemic. Ouch! To be honest it was so unbelievably bad I almost enjoyed it. Definately good for a laugh.

The last Lord of the Rings felt like it would never end I can't believe anybody liked that garbage.

Haha. It WAS rather long & tedious. I remember watching it in the theater & the whole crowd stood up because they thought it was over, & sat back down when they realized it wasn't over yet. They did that 3-4 times. It was like we all just wanted it to end & it wouldn't. Kind of a surreal experience.
Hollywood sure seemed to like it though. It got best picture. Personally, I would have given the oscar to "The Two Towers" instead. |

Big budget movies in the theater- Titanic, Avatar, the Joel Schumacher Batman movies, Transformers, Underworld.
The worst of the worst- Back Woods '01, Night Of Horror, Freeway Maniac, The Brainsucker, I Spit On Your Grave 2: Savage Vengeance, Criminally Insane 2, Hip Hop Locos, any Todd Sheets film. |

Any Uwe Bol film. His work should own this thread. I used to think that until I saw Boll's Rampage. It's an excellent film, you really should check it out. Also Postal was hilarious(on purpose) |

Yeah...don't get me wrong man. I really enjoyed The Return of the King, but after 3 & a half hrs I was just ready to GO. Haha. And the way the segueways were at the end it was legit for everyone to get a little annoyed. It REALLY seemed like the credits were about to roll, but a whole new scene would appear on the screen. Like I said...surreal.
And I was being sarcastic about the oscars. I don't like them or agree with them either. |

Oh no, I understand, they were long movies, I have the extended editions, and when I watch them I break each movie into 2. But I've also watched movies that were only 80 minutes that felt longer than Return Of The King haha Elijah Wood said he talked to Jack Nicholson about seeing Return Of The King, Jack left before the film was over and went out to warm up the car for his family, Elijah asked why he didn't stay to the end, and Jack said the movie just kept ending. |

Ok. Bol directed Bloodrayne, which was so bad I almost wished I was watching Alone in the Dark....which has Tara Reid....which any movie (except The Big Lebowski and American Pie) that has Reid in it sucks.

If a movie sucks...just don't watch it...this ain't rocket science.
I can name some movies that started to suck....but, I just hit "stop". Suddenly the pain is gone. ...or are you guys griping about sorry movies that you actually sat there and watched even though it sucked...cause that is you own damned fault. |

I used to watch a lot of bad movies, because I got some pleasure out of it. Now I just watch good movies and I find it much more rewarding.

Moby Dick 2011 or some recent date. The whale walks over an island. Bad, bad, bad but frigging hilarious. The newest Scorpion King that went straight to video and the new In The Name of the King with Dolph Lundgren. BAD! But funny!
