What is love????

Love is like a gamble ... sometimes you lose and sometimes you win .... ☺☺ I suggest that if love has any relevance. It would have to be first invested in oneself. As the body and mind develop. so does the core. there's a strong argument for selfishness being altruistic if practiced in good faith. It may even be only possible in good faith exclusively, as our ability to identify relevant factors expands. A tenuous connection can acceptably be explored between selfish and selfless expressions of love. It even may be necessary to clarify between selfish expressions and selfless demonstrations. Which I find delightfully counter intuitive. I personally feel that the selfish expression avoids manipulative abuse in a fascinating way. It doesn't make sense without the Zero-sum framework that selfless demonstrations of love rely upon for meaning. |

Love and sex in relationship
|
|
There was a lot of great takes on the question.
What role does commitment have in relationships? Thats what I hear being asked. it's personal. how committed a person is prepared to be is a ever changing metric that has great importance in my opinion. look to any examples of greatness in history and you will find commitment at the core. So, I personally know that if I'm "hedging my bets" I'm far less likely to foster the perephrial factors that may contribute to opportunities being possible in my future if I am weak in my resolve now. I may be wrong. its likely i will be mostly wrong, most times who isn't? There's the rub. We are always wrong and scrambling for any way to hide that fact. So, Sex? easy. figure out how to make them ***, then figure it out again. Love? easy. stop acting like **** is easy, it's hard, it's ok. if it's not working, change or die. that's love. humbly submitted. |
