So yeah who are your favorite rappers? Old school I like Mobb Deep, Jeru the Damaja, Ghostface, Raekwon, GZA, UGK, and basically everything from Memphis like pre-sellout Three 6 Mafia, Tommy Wright III. New school I like Lil Ugly Mane and I also surely have a spot for some of this trap and autotune stuff that people dismiss - Travis Scott, Young Thug, and Future have some amazing songs that have pushed the boundaries of music.
I also have a soft spot for west African dancehall music like Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, etc. - spending a summer in Ghana doing a research project got me really into this stuff. Albums and mixtapes not good, but some solid singles for sure. |

Maccabees 3:48 is not even in the Bible. its part of the fake books that Catholic priests add to their books. Its a rare religious book store that will even sell you a Catholic bible. so if you are getting information from there, you are incorrectly informed right from the start. what color is water? ALL water? what color is Wind? Can you hold a cloud? stop thinking that God is an actual touchable man. Only while Jesus lived among the people was God touchable. Have you heard the expression "the face of a nation" - that encompasses the nature of the government, the people, the actions of the people, the economic status of the people, their religions, occupations and much more. The Face of God does not mean a 6 X 8 inch face like we have - it encompasses spirit and love and conscience and joy and punishments. You should possibly start over with your thinking. Thanks for your comment. I like what you had to say. First, in the early 18e century the Protestant removed 14 books from the bible. The bible as we know it today consists of 66 books which are rightfully called the "Protestant bible". The Roman Catholic Church have however, added few, I believe 5, of the 14 lost books to their bible again. In contrary to your thoughts, they felt that not all of these books were deuterocanonical, and discredited the Prostestants. I would like to remind you that the KJV of 1611 does have 80 books with the lost books intact. Christ spoke of the feast of dedication in the Apochrypha which does make these books canonical, unless Christ is a liar. The truth of the matter is that these books were removed by wicked church fathers to cause confusion and to make the bible less understandable and agreeable. Often times people will say thinks because they have heard or read something. If you had understood the narrative of the bible, you would have known why these books were removed from the KJV of 1611. Imagine how hard it is to read a book of which a few hundred pages are removed. I am going to leave it up to you to find out why these books were removed from the bible. These books (pages) were simply torn out of the bible because they didn't fit the wicked purposes of these people. [Revelation 22:19] And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. My thoughts are correct, you just need to study harder and understand what book you are dealing with, namely the "Holy Bible". Holy means separate and so God only gave his words to those whom he had separated. [Isaiah 28:9] Whom shall he teach knowledge and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? Dude I'm not religious at all, I just live in a Catholic country and took a lot of classes related to theology. You're preaching to the choir here. I'm asking questions honestly, not asking loaded questions with accusations behind them. ;) Edit: My bad, dude. I thought you were quoting my post. I'm drunk. It's 8pm here and I need to deal with a cat who's about to give birth. Forgive me hahaha. I was like, "What's this guy on about? I totally agree that church authorities took way too much out of the Bible." |

To me, prayer, yoga, and meditation are all kind of the same thing. Have some silent time to yourself (don't be a Pharisee!) and reflect on your goals and purpose in life. It's one and the same. I'm not religious but totally happy to pray with Christians, Muslims, etc. because after doing yoga, I realized how therapeutic that mindset is. (don't be a Pharisee!) <- I am not thinking that way at all ... I have prayed with many different religions an meditated... did yoga ...been with my quit self have done self help ... I am not trying to impose anything on anyone ... just a different way of looking at life... a bit ... that I thought was a cool way to look at prayer ... you may go on with your self ... what ever anyone may be comfortable with ... I am good ... was not directed at you, just saying that praying loudly in public and making a spectacle isn't the same. sorry for not clarifying |

In all the pics I have seen he is a white man with a big beard , looks a bit like a 60's guitarist That's because Paul stole the story of Christ from his brother James, and then Nero painted Jesus as a white man and used that image of him to colonize the world. |

How funny is it then that most of the apocryphal texts (Gospel of Truth, and even Epistles of James in some denominations) are way more historically accurate than what's actually in the Bible, lol The books of Maccabees are REAL HISTORY, whether you agree with the words in it or not. Out of like, all the stuff Protestants take out of the Bible, I'm curious why this was taken out lol Edit: Ok book 3 is not historically accurate. It's generally agreed among historians that it was lifted from another text and inserted in the middle of Maccabees. |

Humans kill, and blame it on any number of things, including religion. The things that can kill a relationship are too numrous to name, but boil down to incompatibility. I do assume you know this isn't correct? Millions, likely more like billions, have been killed, annihilated, tortured, slaughtered, in the name of some god, including the Christian god. That didn't have to do with 'humans kill and blame it on something', it's religion motivation, propagated, and requiring 'infidels' and 'heretics' to be dealt with in that manner. The people who do this belief 100% that is what their god wants them to do. Our history is full of hatred, murder, mass murder and so on all because of religion. And this is still happening so the history we are making today isn't much different. Which isn't correct? Humans dont kill? What are the numbers? where are the data? Humans have bloodlust. Humans appease their bloodlust 'in the name' of anything from patriotism, to religion, to 'love'. BUt those are just as much axcuse as blaming clothing for rapes. Individuals make individual choices. Simple. Yup, this is right on the mark. |

Non-religious guy here, coming at the issue from a social science perspective, saying that religion is just a tool that people in power use to manipulate others. Even without religion this kind of brainwashing that's led to holy wars would exist. They just wouldn't be holy wars. Religious texts are so vague and esoteric that they're easy to twist in violent ways.
Also, they've been corrupted by man - for example, what Jesus actually taught according to history, and how the Bible presents his life, completely different things. Linguistic analysis, archaeology, and other types of historical analysis have shown that the authorship of so many passages in holy books is absolutely not who is stated as having written it, and quite often you will have two adjacent verses that it turns out were written by different people. Even without religion, you'd still have all of this violence and whatnot. Religion is just a really bare bones method for stirring up a mess. Humans naturally want to have something to believe in when their life is going down the *******; and both getting people to follow a massive organized religion, and getting people to commit violence are things you can do when desperate. Edit: I'm not going to name any names, but some of the people here trashing religion believe in some absolute new-age nonsense meant to drain the wallet of wealthy white folks. To me, that's just as ridiculous as believing Noah's Ark or divine creation. A bunch of wishy washy nonsense for making middle/upper class white people feel special and spend money on garbage. Examine yourself before you make a sweeping judgment of something you clearly haven't studied about (note - reading the Bible isn't studying it, but taking an anthropology or sociology course is what I'm talking about) |
